We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience with enterprise GitHub and GitLab (and extra points for Perforce (P4)), to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive strategic consulting and full lifecycle product development. You will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and supporting complex migration projects, ensuring seamless transition and adoption of GitHub at scale.

About You

  • Experience: Senior with 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a proven track record in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
  • Enterprise-Scale GitHub Migration:Demonstrated experience leading or executing large-scale migrations from GitLab and Perforce (P4) to GitHub.Deep understanding of migration planning, tooling, risk mitigation, and post-migration support.
  • Version Control: Extensive experience using Git and GitHub for source control and development workflows.
  • CI/CD: Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation of software delivery processes.
  • GitHub Migration: Experience in GitHub migration processes and a GitHub certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills and experience in cloud infrastructure, including:
    • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
    • Virtualization and containerization
    • Monitoring and automation
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle complex issues and think strategically.
  • Adaptability to learn new tools and methodologies in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills for working smoothly with development, operations, and IT teams.
  • Attention to detail to ensure system stability and high-quality deliverables by identifying potential issues early.
  • Independent Work and Ownership: Manage multiple tasks with minimal direction, continually improving processes. Mentor others inside Modus and our clients team.
  • Project familiarity: GitHub experience especially on projects that tackled migrations. Extensive experience using Git and GitHub for source control and development is to be expected.
