Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.

The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role
You work at the intersection of design craft and AI, using Claude Code and Claude Design as fluently as Figma, as a core workflow for ideation, production, and creative output. You translate complex data and technology concepts into clear, compelling visual stories across brand, web, campaigns, social, presentations, and events, as part of an agile creative team where your work has real visibility and impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Design High-Impact Creative: Design high-impact creative across brand, web, campaign, social, presentation, event, and demand generation formats.
  • Work AI-First: Use Claude Code and Claude Design daily to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and production; you should already be doing this, not learning it on the job.
  • Build Design Systems: Build and evolve design systems in Figma that scale across a growing brand.
  • Create Motion Content: Design and animate motion content, using AI-assisted animation tools (Runway, Midjourney video, Higgsfield, or similar) alongside traditional motion craft.
  • Visualize Data: Turn complex data into clear, engaging visual narratives through compelling data visualization, and design polished presentations and sales materials.
  • Build Web and Campaigns: Contribute to the Samba website and campaign builds, working within Framer and modern web and design tooling.
  • Collaborate and Stay Current: Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Leadership, and stay current on design trends and emerging AI tools.

What You Bring
  • 7+ years of professional design experience, with a portfolio showing strong conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and creative problem-solving across brand, web, and campaign work.
  • AI-forward by default: genuinely fluent using Claude Code and Claude Design in your actual design workflow, not just aware of them.
  • Expert-level Figma skills, solid fluency in Google Suite, and strong data visualization design ability.
  • Animation experience with real exposure to AI-driven animation and video-generation tools: you know how to direct and refine output, not just prompt and hope.
  • Experience developing brand and marketing creative across digital, social, video, and experiential formats, with the communication skills to present your work and integrate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-directed and well-organized, keeping projects moving without close oversight, with a sharp eye for detail and a high bar for craft.
  • Nice to have: Framer, deeper motion and animation background (After Effects, Lottie, CSS/JS animation), social-first design experience, and a degree in design, fine arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
