The Foundations team at StubHub is responsible for the end-to-end product experience for fans looking to discover, buy, and sell tickets to their favorite live events through our web and mobile platforms. As we pursue big bets and rapidly enhance our existing experiences, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Design Systems Designer for the Foundations team to help build and maintain a robust design system that fosters consistency, efficiency, and design excellence.

In this role, you’ll own the creation and refinement of UI components and patterns, as well as documentation and resources that improve design system usage and promote best practices. As AI continues to evolve product experiences, you’ll help lead us into a future of generative content, collaborating closely with product teams to increase consistency in the user experience and enable more efficient design decisions.

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY or Century City, CA 
 
What You'll Do:
  • Own the growth and maintenance of our Figma component and variable libraries, ensuring they are high-quality, up-to-date, and aligned with our design system standards
  • Partner closely with design system engineers on the design and implementation of design system components and foundations
  • Collaborate with product teams to design and refine components for web and native apps, ensuring they meet product needs and design system guidelines
  • Define and evolve scalable frameworks and patterns for AI features that enable dynamic content experiences while preserving design ecosystem consistency, quality, and integrity
  • Actively support product teams by providing feedback, guidance, and education on using design system components and patterns effectively
  • Create and maintain design system documentation, ensuring accuracy and discoverability
  • Understand gaps and opportunities in the design system, contribute to the vision, and pursue investment areas to ensure effectiveness and relevancy of the design system over time

What You've Done:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a product or visual designer, including hands-on, collaborative experience building or maintaining a design system for web or mobile apps
  • Expertise in Figma, including a strong ability to execute design work at a high level of craft and accuracy
  • Demonstrated success leading workstreams in ambiguous environments and organizations with evolving product development processes
  • Portfolio showcasing attention to detail, collaborative work, and strong visual design
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative product development process
  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
