ABOUT GOVSIGNALS

GovSignals is the AI system of work for federal acquisition. It can take the government longer to buy a capability than an adversary takes to field one, and we exist to close that gap.

We're the only startup managing government contract data with AI in both FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 environments. Our platform monitors 5,000+ live government data sources and processes thousands of budget, program, and vendor signals every day, giving program, contracting, and acquisition teams a cited common operating picture for the end-to-end path of money: prioritize requirements, monitor obligations and deliverables, and defend every decision with a full audit trail. In the past 18 months, we've earned FedRAMP High and IL5 authorizations, joined GSA MAS and the MDA SHIELD IDIQ, and deployed across defense, civilian, and state customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring multiple Deployment Strategists to expand our deployment team. You'll work directly with the CPO and own the agency relationship from the moment an award is signed: onboarding, activation, training, and the expansion that follows. You're responsible for agencies getting measurable value: faster market research, compressed PALT, and acquisitions that close on schedule.

You'll work directly with program offices, contracting shops, and acquisition teams across the defense and civilian enterprise. GovSignals offers them what no other platform can: a roster of AI agents that own each step of the acquisition lifecycle, from requirements definition and market research through acquisition strategy, SOW/PWS and IGCE development, solicitation and source selection, and post-award obligation tracking. Every output is cited to source and human-in-the-loop by design, inside a FedRAMP High / IL5 boundary where CUI never leaves the perimeter. On a new requirement, in under an hour, the platform produces market research, an independent cost estimate, a clause review, and a first-draft solicitation package. You configure it to each agency's workflow, train their teams, measure adoption, and drive expansion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own onboarding from signed award through go-live as the single point of accountability for getting agency teams activated.

  • Lead discovery with new agency customers to understand how their program, contracting, requirements, and financial management teams work, then build deployment plans around their organizational structure, workflows, and compliance requirements.

  • Translate acquisition workflows into product configuration, training, and a measurable path to value, including PALT reduction and obligation outcomes.

  • Drive adoption by ensuring GovSignals becomes embedded within day-to-day acquisition workflows, from market research through source selection and post-award oversight.

  • Drive expansion and renewals through documented mission outcomes, measurable time-to-award improvements, and new use cases across program offices and commands.

  • Carry agency feedback into product, pricing, and roadmap decisions, and turn cross-customer insights into go-to-market improvements.

  • Work closely with the Product Engineering team to continuously improve the platform and customer experience.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of experience in Federal Consulting, Customer Success, Professional Services, Implementation, Program Management, or Account Management supporting complex enterprise or federal customers.

  • Experience working directly with federal agencies, government contractors, or organizations supporting the federal government in customer-facing, operational, or strategic roles.

  • Deep understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle and the operational workflows that support requirements development, market research, solicitation, source selection, contract administration, and program execution.

  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment, with the ability to independently lead customer engagements, solve complex problems, and drive successful outcomes.

  • Technical enough to understand enterprise platforms, APIs, data flows, integrations, and product configuration.

  • Nice to have: experience deploying software within FedRAMP, DoD Impact Level, or other highly regulated environments; familiarity with the FAR/DFARS and the ATO process.

  • Ideal background: GovTech, DefenseTech, federal consulting, military service, or federal civilian service, especially in a contracting, program management, or acquisition role (1102, PM, COR, or equivalent).

HOW WE HIRE

  • Intro conversation (30 min) — your background and how you work with customers.

  • Working session (45 min) — run a live mock onboarding with us, deploy us on a product.

  • Co-founder conversations (15 min) — meet the cofounders.

  • Paid work trial (1 day) — real work with the team.

  • Offer.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary: $150,000–$180,000

  • Bonus: Additional performance bonus

  • Equity: Meaningful stake in a well-funded, fast-growing startup

  • Benefits: medical, vision, and dental, unlimited PTO

  • Brooklyn Navy Yard office, 3+ days a week in person, with travel to customer sites (roughly 25%, around onboardings and key reviews). The Yard built ships for the Navy from 1801 to 1966, now we build systems for Navy program offices.

Due to the nature of our government work, this role is open only to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders). GovSignals is an equal opportunity employer.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
