Newsela is looking for a Senior Demand Generation Marketing Manager to define our integrated national demand strategy and execute campaigns that generate qualified leads and opportunities within our target audience. This role will report to the Manager, Demand Marketing and will partner closely with our Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations and Sales teams. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Own the development of the quarterly demand generation strategy from end-to-end, including channel and audience selection and alignment to our marketing KPIs and revenue targets
  • Drive impact by proactively executing a variety of demand generation activations, including webinars, content, paid media, direct mail, events, industry sponsorships and email nurture campaigns
  • Design and optimize marketing automation, lifecycle campaigns, and sales outreach that effectively moves users from free product trial/sign-up into sales-qualified opportunities (SQLs).
  • Incorporate ABM strategies to drive deeper account penetration in key accounts in close collaboration with sales leadership
  • Run data-informed experiments to uplevel our campaigns
  • Partner with Product Marketing to implement engaging and effective messaging across campaign channels
  • Partner with creative, content, channel and operational team members on content, campaign and channel effectiveness 
  • Implement lead nurturing programs to guide prospects through the buyer's journey and facilitate smooth handoffs to operational teams and sales
  • Consistently monitor campaign performance to generate data-driven insights to improve future campaign performance, make recommendations on campaign spend, and demonstrate the impact on pipeline and revenue to executive stakeholders
  • Operate as a strategic partner to Sales and SDRs to maximize their impact on marketing sourced bookings

  • You have at least 5 years of B2B demand generation experience in a SaaS environment and have a proven track record of being one part strategist, one part executor
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of the MarTech landscape. You can learn new MarTech tools and implement them into an overall strategy  (Ex. chat, ABM, AI, and event platforms)
  • You have experience leveraging multiple digital channels including paid media to drive outcomes
  • You are extremely data-driven and committed to experimenting to improve and optimize programs for success
  • You have strong project management and entrepreneurial skills to work independently on complex projects
  • You have strong writing skills and experience creating content for emails, ads, webpages, and other marketing collateral built for conversion
  • You are meticulously organized with an ability to work and demonstrate grace under pressure
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can move forward in this environment
  • You love problem solving and thrive in organizing and executing on demand programs and enabling sales teams with the resources and communication needed to be successful

Compensation:

  • Base compensation range: $115,000 - $130,000 per year. 
  • Total compensation for this role also includes incentive stock options and benefits.
