Senior Database Administrator

Job Description

CoStar Realty Information, Inc. seeks a Senior Database Administrator to configure, monitor, and maintain databases in production, development, and quality assurance environments. Design and develop automated processes using TSQL, PowerShell, Python, and Terraform scripts. Collaborate with DevOps and SecOps teams to develop AWS-based architecture and scripts to support continuous deployment processes and maintain environments via TFS and Terraform. Plan server and server-less resource requirements with Operations & Development team to decide the proper size for specific application requirements and performance metrics. Process database change requests, including creation and modification of databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and jobs in accordance with change control policies. Analyze and anticipate future problem areas and implement solutions that adhere to engineering and administration standards. #LI-DNI

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Database Administrator. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server; 5 years of experience with enterprise-level applications requiring 24/7 uptime; 5 years of experience with large database implementations including installations, configuration, data modeling, maintenance, redundancy, high availability, replication, disaster recovery, security, troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades, and data and server migrations; 5 years of experience with creating complex, inter-discipline project plans for development, implementation, and deployment; 2 years of experience with scripting languages and programming frameworks including Terraform, PowerShell, Python, NodeJS, JavaScript, and bash; 2 years of experience with NoSQL data platforms; and 1 year of experience with large data platform and data pipelining. Part-time telecommuting may be permitted.

Job location: Irvine, CA. RATE OF PAY:  $176,752.13 - $183,900.00 per year.
