You will actively champion AI-enabled reporting and work with a cutting-edge stack that includes Python, SQL, Tableau, Amplitude, dbt, Airflow, and advanced tools like Streamlit, MCP, and Windsurf.
  • High-Maturity Data Culture: If you care about data quality and maturity, this team champions it at scale. You will have the resources and organizational buy-in to improve tracking, build scalable ETL pipelines, and establish data integrity across the entire company.
What You’ll Do:
  • Facilitate both short- and long-term strategic goals across core product initiatives.
  • Lead exploratory analyses to identify and size product development opportunities, balancing trade-offs between feature growth and optimization.
  • Drives the creation of learning agendas, design multivariate tests, and translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations that shape critical business decisions and influence the product roadmap.
  • Define success metrics for strategic initiatives, while delivering high-quality, data-driven analyses that surface impactful insights—particularly around consumer behavior, segmentation, and quality acquisition.
  • Champion the development of self-service AI-enabled reporting tools, empowering cross-functional teams to independently explore, measure, and monitor performance.
  • Drive continuous improvements in tracking and data quality, lead deep-dive analyses to understand product performance, and address key strategic questions.
  • Provide a unique opportunity to influence product direction by uncovering foundational insights into consumer preferences, behaviors, and intent through descriptive, statistical, and predictive analytics.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Expertise in Data Science & Search –MS/BS in computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research or related fields, and 5 years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning or applied statistics, with a strong background in product analytics or experimentation.
  • Extensive Technical Skills – Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Amplitude (or similar analytics tools).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
