About the Role:

Join Eversight by Instacart as a senior data products enterprise account executive. We are searching for an enterprise seller with deep insights and data analytics experience to revolutionize the way Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies experience data. As a pioneer in crafting go-to-market strategies, you will be the driving force behind sales engagements, skillfully coordinating selling activities across multiple sales organizations as an overlay and direct seller. This pivotal role is tailor-made for an individual who thrives in dynamic environments, possesses deep expertise in the CPG insights and analytics domain, and excels in navigating complex matrix organizations. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Customer Success, you will spearhead unlocking new business opportunities and elevate our Data Products to new heights.

About the Job:

  • Seize Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on prospects within the Data, Insights, and Analytics arena in the CPG sector.
  • Innovate Sales Strategies: Create and refine go-to-market strategies and sell-in materials that will elevate cross-functional selling.
  • Lead with Strategic Precision: Guide complex sales cycles, articulating the transformative value of our Data Products to high-level decision-makers, including VPs of Insights and Analytics and Category Management.
  • Orchestrate Success: Navigate a matrixed selling environment, coordinating activities to achieve both team and individual sales targets.
  • Build Enduring Relationships: Cultivate lasting connections within our CPG customer organizations, effectively demonstrating the strategic benefits of our Data Products to C-level executives.
  • Drive Predictive Sales: Utilize Salesforce for accurate sales forecasts and revenue tracking, ensuring customer satisfaction remains paramount.
  • Expand Our Reach: Add esteemed CPG companies to our distinguished roster of anchor clients.
  • Foster Collaboration: Work in tandem with Brand Partnerships, Sales, Business Development, Pre-sales, and Customer Success teams to drive a robust sales pipeline.

About You:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise as a hunter and strategic customer leader in the sales domain particularly focused on selling consumer panel and retailer sales data into CPG 
  • Versatility in dynamic environments, particularly with new product launches.
  • Proven track record of closing 3-5 deals annually, with deal sizes ranging between $250K-$500K.
  • You are an “A-Player”, with a thirst for action and appetite for massive earnings in a fast-paced environment
  • You have a proven track record of establishing trust and credibility at target companies, using influence and connections, a proven software sales methodology, and a keen understanding of your innovative solution
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in a complex technology solution-selling environment
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quota
  • SaaS selling experience
  • Previous Sales Methodology training, SaaS Performance Management or Applications experience
  • Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the C-level
  • Excellent presentation and poise
  • Strong computer skills, including Salesforce.com, Lucidchart, Google Suite, Mode, Slack, Zoom and more

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 7 years of insights and analytical selling experience in the CPG industry.
  • Proficient in selling within a complex matrix organization.
  • Understanding of Category Management & Insights and Analytical functions within CPG
  • Understanding of Trade Marketing and Revenue Growth Management functions within CPG
  • Understanding of the applications of retail scanner data and CPG in-store trade promotion evaluation process
  • Strong customer references

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.
