The Crown Is Yours
As a Senior Data Engineering Manager, Platform you will lead teams of engineers who provide a best-in-class data environment and experience for our many and varied internal users to serve a plethora of business needs. You will be working closely with Technical Product Managers, Delivery Managers, and Data Engineers to help design, optimize, and deliver innovative solutions. You must have strong technical skills with the proven ability of taking initiative, driving results, having strong communication skills, and be a hands-on contributor when needed.
What you'll do as a Senior Data Engineering Manager, Platform

  • Lead teams of Data Engineers that are responsible for delivering a Data Platform that is used throughout DraftKings to serve many business, operations, and analysis needs
  • Manage hiring, training, and creating a culture of high performance teams
  • Manage and mentor talented teams of Data Engineers of all levels, motivating them to grow and perform at their highest level and aiding them in their career path and growth
  • Ensure the team is designing and architecting solutions and code in a testable, scalable, performant, and cost efficient manner
  • Help manage and facilitate technical design discussions, leverage your experience to contribute significant verbal and written guidance, and assist your teams in overcoming hurdles


What you'll bring

  • 5-7 years of technical management experience
  • Hands-on SQL experience in aspects of business intelligence and data engineering, including data warehousing, delivery, and operations
  • Strong, proven mentorship skills which have demonstrated the ability to motivate, develop, and guide Data Engineers and teams/organizations
  • Ability to communicate with both highly technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with, and managing Snowflake, as well as building cloud solutions (for example, on AWS)
  • Experience with tools such as Datadog, Airflow, Tableau and/or other reporting tools is preferred

We're a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 179,600.00 USD - 224,500.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
