About PushPress
PushPress is building the Intelligent Industry Ledger for boutique fitness.
We’re transforming how boutique gyms operate — and how the entire $100B fitness industry connects, transacts, and grows. Trusted by 5,000+ gyms and 500,000+ members, PushPress processes over $500M annually and is backed by Altos Ventures and Mucker Capital.
We're evolving from a traditional business system of record into an AI-powered Industry Ledger — an intelligent infrastructure layer that brings order to a highly fragmented boutique fitness industry. By unifying disconnected operators, workflows, and data into a single platform, we’re enabling faster decisions, new business models, cross-gym collaboration, and network effects that increase the value of every studio in our client base.
We’re a global team of builders, operators, and fitness fanatics on a mission to level the playing field for fitness entrepreneurs. If you're ready to help reshape an industry — let’s talk.
About The Role
We're building a data platform that handles analytics, reporting, and AI insights for our business. We’re looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data squad, own key data areas and support company-wide projects. You'll design and maintain our data infrastructure - the pipelines that bring data in, the DBT models that transform it, and the systems that orchestrate everything. We use Snowflake, Paradime, Hevo, and Airflow. You'll work with Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience (CX), and Finance teams to give them clean, reliable data for decisions. This job works well for someone who likes fast-moving startups and can handle different parts of the data process.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain data pipelines that pull in and transform data from different sources using Hevo or Fivetran
- Create DBT models that let teams analyze data themselves and generate reliable reports in Metabase
- Set up workflows and manage how data flows between systems using Airflow
- Create data quality checks, alerts, and testing systems
- Build datasets that data science, business teams, and AI applications can use
- Work with other teams to understand what they need and deliver useful data products
- Review code and give feedback on architecture to keep engineering quality high
- Help build data pipelines that work with AI, including parsing messy data and using LLMs (nice to have)
What You'll Need
- 5+ years doing data engineering with real production pipelines and data modeling
- Strong SQL and Python skills, lots of experience with DBT
- Good understanding of Snowflake - how to optimize queries, manage costs, set up access controls, and design schemas that scale
- Experience with workflow tools like Airflow or Dagster
- Know how to use data ingestion tools like Hevo or Fivetran
- Bonus: Experience working with messy data and integrating LLMs (Claude, OpenAI, etc.)Can prioritize well and work across different areas (marketing analytics, sales reporting, product insights)
- Good at communicating and taking ownership of your work
