Job Description
The Senior Data Centre Operations Analyst will oversee the day-to-day operations of data centres, ensuring the smooth functioning of critical infrastructure encompassing
- Capacity deployment and space utilisation.
- Budgets, material procurement and maintaining facility stock
- General operational uptime/maintenance scheduling
- Vendor management
- Builds and deployments
- Strategic global projects
- Cross organizational collaboration
- Developing, documenting and evangelizing a catalogue of standards and best practices for data centre operations
Availability for 24/7 support as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service-Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Responsible for the installation of pre-integrated racks, individual servers and network appliances including stacking, wiring and cable management.
- Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
- Performing regular audits as required.
- Coordinating with the onsite delivery and shipping of all equipment
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, the team is after someone with
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field, along with relevant certifications and/or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data centre operations and or facility operations with a record of increasing role responsibility.
- Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center IT equipment.
- Experience in managing vendors in a data centre environment.
- Hands-on experience in hardware break-fix with servers and network appliances.
- Working knowledge of networking/server architecture and hardware.
- Strong focus on process orientation and experience in developing processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task several issues.
- Proven ability to function independently in ambiguous situations with a record of success.
- Excellent communication, customer focus, problem-solving, conflict management, time management and interpersonal skills required.
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development, skill enhancement, and fulfilling all necessary on-the-job training requirements.
- Fully compliant with all physical security procedures and policies.
- Local Language
- Open to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferable Requirements
- Experience in building new data center sites
- Taking ownership of all the ongoing responsibilities in the Data Centre.
- Excellent General documentation skills with particular emphasis on technical processes and standards.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in highly technical, multi-disciplined projects.
- Technical understanding of data centre facilities and infrastructure including power, HVAC, structured cabling, rack management and security is a plus
- Knowledge and experience in ITIL process methodologies, CCNA, CompTIA Hardware is a plus.
- Experience with CISCO, Juniper and other commodity networking devices
