Nift is disrupting performance marketing, delivering millions of new customers to brands every month. We are looking for a mid-level Senior Data Analyst focused on revenue and growth analytics to help us better understand, explain, and optimize how our marketplace and auction systems drive value for brands and consumers.

This role sits at the intersection of data, business, product, and sales. You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Data Science to analyze system behavior, evaluate experiments and model changes, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both internal teams and client-facing conversations. This is a high-impact role for someone who is technically strong, business-oriented, and comfortable communicating insights that directly influence revenue.

Our Mission:

Nift’s mission is to reshape how people discover and try new brands by introducing them to new products and services through thoughtful "thank-you" gifts. Our customer-first approach ensures businesses acquire new customers efficiently while making customers feel valued and rewarded.

We are a data-driven, cash-flow-positive company that has experienced 731% growth over the last three years. As we scale, data and analytics are central to how we make decisions, improve performance, and explain value to our partners.

Backed by investors who supported Fitbit, Warby Parker, and Twitter, we are poised for exponential growth and ready to demonstrate impact on a global scale. Read more about our growth here.

What you will do:

  • Analyze revenue and growth performance across Nift’s marketplace and auction systems
  • Partner with Sales to generate insights that explain auction behavior, pricing dynamics, and performance drivers for brands
  • Support Product and Data Science by measuring A/B tests, model calibration changes, and feature launches
  • Define, track, and report on core revenue and growth KPIs
  • Perform root-cause analysis on performance changes and anomalies
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives for internal stakeholders and client-facing use
  • Support stakeholder requests with timely, accurate analysis and clear recommendations
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and trust across all analyses and deliverables

What you need:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or Business Analytics role in a production environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and comfort working with large, complex datasets
  • Working knowledge of experimentation analysis (A/B tests) and performance measurement
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to perform root-cause analysis
  • High business acumen with the ability to understand auction-based systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical or analytical concepts to non-technical audiences, including clients
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Data Science, and Engineering

Nice to have:

  • Experience with revenue, growth, or marketplace analytics
  • Familiarity with auction systems, pricing models, or model calibration concepts
  • Experience using Python or R for ad hoc analysis
  • Experience supporting client-facing teams with data-driven insights

What you get:

  • Competitive compensation, flexible remote work
  • Unlimited Responsible PTO
  • Great opportunity to work on high-impact, revenue-driving problems in a fast-growing, profitable company
  • Direct exposure to product, sales, and leadership with clear ownership and visibility

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
