As a Senior Data Analyst, Product, you’ll play a key role in driving data-informed decisions that shape the future of Underdog’s products. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your analyses and experimentation expertise will directly influence how millions of users experience Underdog. You’ll collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure every feature, test, and decision is grounded in rigorous analytics and meaningful insights.

About the role
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to deliver data-driven insights that inform product strategy, roadmap decisions, and feature optimization.
  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments, ensuring statistical rigor, proper execution, and actionable readouts that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop analytical frameworks and KPIs to evaluate product performance, user engagement, and conversion funnels across core experiences.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that improve visibility into product performance and key metrics using BI tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or Power BI.
  • Collaborate on tracking and instrumentation strategies in Amplitude and other analytics tools to ensure data accuracy and coverage.
  • Contribute to improvements in the Product Analytics experimentation framework, playbooks, and documentation for test setup, analysis, and reporting.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and visually compelling insights that help Product Leadership make confident, data-informed decisions.
  • Partner with peers across the Analytics team to share learnings, standardize best practices, and continuously improve analytical quality and efficiency.
Who you are
  • Analytical Expert: You have deep experience in product analytics and experimentation, with strong SQL skills and a solid foundation in statistics.
  • Experimentation Practitioner: You’ve designed, implemented, and analyzed A/B or multivariate tests using tools like Amplitude Experiment, Optimizely, StatSig, LaunchDarkly, or Eppo.
  • Data Storyteller: You translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that resonate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Collaborative Partner: You work seamlessly with Product, Engineering, and Design to define success metrics, interpret results, and drive product improvements.
  • BI & Visualization Pro: You create dashboards and visual reports that make performance and impact visible across teams.
  • Curious and Product-Minded: You bring a passion for understanding user behavior, improving product experiences, and contributing to Underdog’s mission through data.
Even better if you have
  • Experience in the sports industry, particularly fantasy sports or sports betting.
  • Familiarity with DFS and Sportsbook user behaviors and product lifecycles.
  • Strong Proficiency with BI and product analytics tools such as Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, and Amplitude.
  • Experience in fast-paced, agile product development environments.
  • Background in Python or R for advanced analysis or statistical modeling.

Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $150,000, plus target equity. The starting base salary will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills and experience, among other things.
