$130,000 - $180,000
Full-time / Onsite (5 days/week)

About The Role

We’re a telehealth company helping people lose weight at scale. Growth is critical to our mission as it is their job to deliver that scale. We’re looking for a Data Scientist who thrives at the intersection of marketing and analytics. You’ll work cross-functionally with performance marketers, influencer managers, and leadership to optimize spend, measure impact, and identify what really drives growth. This role blends statistical rigor with business intuition—and is ideal for someone who wants impact, autonomy, and a front-row seat to decision-making.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the lifecycle of growth analytics—from data modeling to insight generation to stakeholder action

  • Build and maintain robust attribution models (including MMM, MTA, or hybrid) to understand true channel ROI

  • Design experiments and A/B tests to optimize creatives, landing pages, onboarding flows, and incentive programs

  • Automate growth reporting and marketing funnel analytics using Python and SQL

  • Partner with the marketing team to inform targeting, bidding, and budget allocation strategies

  • Segment audiences using clustering or lookalike modeling to improve CAC and LTV

  • Build internal tools to streamline campaign analysis or budget planning

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics/Applied Math, Engineering, Quantitative Science or Social Sciences)

  • 2+ years of experience working with growth, digital marketing, or product data

  • Strong SQL and Python skills; write clean, maintainable queries

  • Comfortable analyzing marketing channel performance (e.g., Meta, Google Ads, TikTok)

  • Experienced in building dashboards (e.g. Tableau) and internal tools

  • Curious, self-directed, and impact-driven—you chase high-leverage problems

  • Clear communicator who can influence non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and switching contexts in a fast-moving environment

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
