Motorola Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) provides trusted security solutions to the global market. This division of Motorola comprises the Pelco, Multi-Sight, IndigoVision, and Avigilon brands. Together, we design, develop, and manufacture video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions using both on-prem and cloud native technologies. Avigilon’s solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers around the world
Job Description

Motorola Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to tell compelling data stories to drive better business decisions by helping us become customer obsessed. This role will help us achieve our goal of transforming data into a strategic enterprise asset that is shared, accessible, trusted, stewarded and secure. We want to grow and we need your help. For the right candidate there will also be opportunities to build machine learning products. 

This hybrid role will bridge the gap between revenue operations and data analytics, providing critical insights to optimize our go-to-market strategy and improve revenue performance.

Responsibilities Include

• Lead and execute complex data analysis projects, including in-depth trend analyses, revenue insights, and sophisticated KPI modeling.

• Develop and maintain robust dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Mentor and guide junior Data Analysts, fostering their growth and ensuring best practices in data analysis.

• Proactively engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and effectively communicate findings and recommendations.

• Identify opportunities for data-driven process improvements and contribute to the development of data strategies.

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all analyses and reports.

• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analytics.

Qualifications

• Must-have 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a proven track record of leading complex analytical projects.

• 4+ years of significant, hands-on SQL experience and 3+ years of dedicated Python experience for data analysis and data manipulation.

• Advanced skills in statistical analysis and a solid understanding of data modeling techniques.

• Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and the ability to develop efficient, high-performance visualizations that clearly communicate insights by applying core data visualization principles and best practices for optimal maintenance and user experience.

• Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth trend analysis, revenue analysis, and KPI modeling.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proven ability to lead projects, mentor and guide junior team members.

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.

• Previous experience working with SaaS metrics

• Previous experience working on GTM projects

• Degree in accounting or a professional accounting designation

• Ability to identify, study, draw and communicate accurate conclusions based on data, and experience using visualization tools 

• Ability to communicate complex data stories to all levels of business stakeholders, helping them make better, data informed decisions

• Experience working with SAP

• Experience working with Salesforce

Target Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 CAD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
