Working at Tech Holding isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to be a part of something bigger. We are a full-service consulting firm that was founded on the premise of delivering predictable outcomes and high-quality solutions to our clients.  Our founders and team members have industry experience and have held senior positions in a wide variety of companies – from emerging startups to large Fortune 50 firms – and we have taken our combined experiences and developed a unique approach that is supported by the principles of deep expertise, integrity, transparency, and dependability.

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst, for a project based assignment, to deliver high-quality analytics and insights that deepen the organization’s understanding of clients, collections, and commercial performance across boutiques, ecommerce, and wholesale channels. This is a hybrid role combining approximately 60% data analytics and 40% analytics-focused data engineering. You will build analytics-ready datasets and semantic models while leading deep commercial and client analysis, performance storytelling, and structured test-and-learn measurement. Reporting to the Manager, Data & Commercial Analytics, this role serves as a critical bridge between raw enterprise data and business decision-making, ensuring leaders operate with trusted metrics, reliable datasets, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Commercial Analytics (60%)

  • Lead client lifecycle, segmentation, and performance analysis.
  • Deliver assortment, sell-through, margin, and boutique-level insights.
  • Provide executive-ready narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Support structured test-and-learn measurement initiatives.

Analytics Engineering & Data Modeling (40%)

  • Build and maintain analytics-ready datasets and data marts.
  • Maintain semantic models and KPI definitions.
  • Develop SQL transformations and implement data quality checks.
  • Improve data consistency, performance, and reliability.

Performance Reporting & Measurement

  • Develop automated dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks.
  • Support campaign, capsule, and clientele performance measurement.

Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement

  • Translate analytical findings into clear business action.
  • Mentor analysts and data power users.
  • Act as a trusted analytics partner across commercial teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in analytics or analytics engineering roles.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency.
  • Experience working with modern data warehouse environments.
  • Experience working in AWS or GCP environments.
  • Experience with BI tooling and retail KPI frameworks.
  • Strong commercial acumen and performance storytelling skills
  • High discretion and sound judgment.
  • Polished and concise communication.
  • Comfortable balancing analytical rigor with creative nuance.
  • Pragmatic and accountable.
  • Strong ability to translate data into commercial decisions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with dbt or similar analytics engineering tools.
  • Exposure to Python or R.
  • Experience in luxury or premium retail environments.

Location:

  • Must be available to work onsite 4x a week in DTLA
Employment type:
  • Corp to Corp (C2C) preferred or contract

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
