ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions: 

The Senior Customer Account Manager – Boeing is responsible for setting and executing the short-term and long-term commercial strategy and technical activities for Boeing and other customers as assigned. The role is responsible for understanding, mapping and developing strategic plans for sales and margin, encouraging timely resolution of product application issues, and to coordinate the strategy within HFS, our customers and our industry.  The position will support development of the HFS strategic plan, growth initiatives, the interface between Sales/Marketing, customer representatives and management, and will resolve issues related to orders, delivery, product applications, and other commercial and technical issues. 

Specific Responsibilities Include: 
  1. Develop & sustain Howmet Boeing customer accounts
  2. Provide assistance with sales, technical & application training
  3. Develop, present and target new growth business opportunities in line with HFS strategy
  4. Assist with the development of sales, marketing and business plans, forecasts and promotional programs
  5. Provide support for field training activities for other Account Managers, distributors and customers
  6. Recommend the addition of new products and the modification/replacement of existing products within customer base
  7. Implement relevant sales and promotional programs
  8. Ensure customers have up to date product information
  9. Coordinate with product management and/or contract management to insure timely submittal of quotes and packages
  10. Monitor and take sales actions as needed to achieve overall Howmet budgets
  11. Report to senior management in efficient manner the strategic and key subjects/events
  12. Compile & submit accurate sales reports/forecasts in a timely manner
  13. Review and manage contract requirements to ensure they are within limits of established policies and procedures, including commercial and intellectual property (patent, trademark, licensing) requirements.  Manage contract compliance of assigned customers to insure budget attainment.
  14. Work with the commercial team in the identification, development & sustainability of HFS accounts in line with the business strategy, ensuring strategies for distribution, optimize HFS business and minimize conflicts and internal competition.
  15. Liaise with various Global HFS locations to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  16. Facilitate the resolution of customer issues, including quality and on-time delivery performance.
  17. Provide support for field training activities for team members, distributors, and other customers.
  18. Participate in development of designs, configuration, project scheduling and installation within the limits of established policies and procedures and coordinate communication with customers and the market to ensure customers have up to date product information.
  19. Generate quotes to support customer proposal packages and coordinate large proposals throughout the commercial and senior staff of HFS.  Support coordination within the broader Howmet Aerospace groups, when required. 
  20. Prepare and deliver customer presentations as needed.  Coordinate commercial, technical and market details for product and marketing literature and trade show displays and communications, as needed. 
  21. Establish positive relationships with customer representatives and managers in procurement, logistics, engineering, program and project offices, and other personnel to convince customers of desirability and practicability of products or services offered. 
  22. Adhere to all company policies and procedures in link with the company values, ethics & compliance.
  23. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and environmental health and safety rules. Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and environment. Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.  Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in aerospace fastener sales or equivalent, with extensive experience with OEM customers.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field from an accredited university.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to use Microsoft programs with intermediate proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong proficiency in Excel is highly desirable.

  • Analytically oriented and able to effectively problem-solve and deliver on objectives.

  • Knowledge of the Aerospace market, particularly with Boeing, is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of aircraft components, materials, structures, and technical drawings preferred.

  • Flexible and able to work with all levels of the organization. 

  • Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently. 

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Work Environment:

Position location is Seattle, but will consider qualified candidates on the West Coast.

At least 25% Travel Required.

Compensation: $150k - $180k
