Senior Customer Account Executive (Enterprise)
Billtrust is seeking a proven enterprise sales leader to manage and expand relationships with our most strategic and high-value customers. In this senior role, you will own complex, global account relationships, driving growth through upsell, cross-sell, and multi-year strategic expansion of our industry-leading SaaS order-to-cash and digital payments solutions.
You will engage with Fortune 1000 enterprises with sophisticated billing structures, global operations, and multi-layered decision-making. These organizations require scalable AR and payments platforms that support digital transformation, working capital optimization, and regulatory compliance. Your ability to influence C-level stakeholders, orchestrate cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable value will be central to your success.
What You’ll Do:Enterprise Account Growth: Own executive-level relationships within large, complex accounts, driving expansion across business units, regions, and functions.
Strategic Engagement: Lead high-level conversations with CFOs, CIOs, and senior finance, IT, and procurement leaders to align Billtrust solutions with enterprise priorities such as digital transformation, automation, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Tailored Solutioning: Deliver compelling, industry-specific presentations and solution roadmaps that showcase measurable business outcomes.
Account Strategy: Develop and execute multi-year account plans focused on retention, expansion, and innovation, ensuring long-term customer value and revenue growth.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Customer Success, Product, Implementation, and Marketing to align resources and deliver exceptional customer experiences across the lifecycle.
Enterprise Complexity: Navigate global ERP ecosystems, complex IT/security requirements, procurement processes, and multi-phase contract negotiations.
Market Insights: Provide strategic feedback from enterprise customers to influence product innovation and go-to-market priorities.
Enterprise SaaS Expertise: 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise account management or strategic sales roles, with a track record of success driving growth in $150K–$1M+ ARR deals.
Complex Sales Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder, C-level engagements in global enterprises, navigating sophisticated buying cycles and consensus-driven decisions.
FinTech / AR Automation Knowledge: Experience selling SaaS platforms in AR automation, payments, ERP integrations, or related financial technology strongly preferred.
ERP Ecosystem Familiarity: Working knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, etc.) and the integration/security considerations within enterprise IT environments.
Sales Excellence: Mastery of structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, Miller Heiman) and disciplined pipeline management practices.
Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and boards, delivering both strategic insights and tactical outcomes.
Data-Driven Mindset: Skilled at leveraging customer KPIs and business data to craft value-based solutions.
Collaboration & Leadership: History of orchestrating cross-functional teams and driving outcomes in fast-paced, metrics-driven environments.
CRM Proficiency: Expertise with Salesforce.com or equivalent enterprise CRM platforms.
Flexibility: Ability to travel up to 20% for executive meetings, QBRs, and strategic onsite engagements.
The expected base salary range for this position is $115,000 – $150,000 annually, plus commissions and performance-based incentives. Total compensation will vary depending on skills, experience, and geographic location. Certain roles may also qualify for equity or other incentive plans.
