We are a team of commerce experts dedicated to creating, building, and growing beloved brands. As pioneers and not just participants in our industry, we are inspired to write, break, and re-write the rules for a new generation of commerce.

We’re looking for a thoughtful, analytical Sr eCommerce Strategist with a strong Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and UX optimization mindset to join our Strategy team. This individual contributor role is focused on uncovering insights through data, developing clear hypotheses, and partnering cross-functionally to design, test, and optimize high-impact commerce experiences within the Shopify ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in experimentation, enjoys translating insights into action, and wants to grow alongside senior strategists while collaborating closely with UX, Design, and Engineering.
This is a contract role with a minimum commitment of 20-30 hours per week to start, with the opportunity to scale hours based on business and client needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead CRO and experimentation engagements for DTC e-commerce brands.

  • Partner closely with UX, Design, Engineering, and Analytics teams to bring experiments and optimization initiatives to life.
  • Synthesize insights and experiment results into clear, compelling client recommendations and optimization strategies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience in CRO, experimentation, and e-commerce optimization, ideally within DTC.
  • Hands-on experience developing hypotheses, experimentation roadmaps, and A/B tests.
  • Strong e-commerce analytics skills and ability to translate data into prioritized actions.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce UX and conversion best practices.
  • Experience with experimentation platforms such as VWO, Optimizely, Shoplift, Intelligems, or similar.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Experience partnering with UX, Design, Engineering, and Analytics teams.
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills.
  • Shopify experience required.
  • BigQuery, SQL, and/or advanced analytics experience is a plus.

  • Flexible working schedule
  • Remote-first culture
  • Continued education and personal development opportunities

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
