About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic, results-driven attorney to join our Product Legal team to support the product team as they innovate on the product roadmap. If you thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and are passionate about music, technology, and artificial intelligence, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, design and related teams to gain a comprehensive command of the product roadmap.

  • Provide full product life-cycle counseling, from ideation and development to launch and operation.

  • Identify and keep ahead of the evolving regulatory landscape by translating uncertainty into practical guidance.

  • Be (or become) an expert on a range of issues including intellectual property, AI, copyright, music, content safety, privacy, data protection, security, and advertising.

  • Develop and implement scaled legal processes to accelerate the company’s growth.

What You’ll Need
  • JD and in good standing with an active US state bar membership.

  • At least 8+ years of experience, with substantial in-house tech product experience, ideally with some experience with copyright and music.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner with business and technical teams.

  • An ability to communicate clearly with business and technical audiences

  • Hands-on attitude to tackle projects large and small, low-ego approach to working across the organization

  • Positive collaborative attitude, comfort with change and a fast pace, high level of integrity, and intellectual curiosity

Additional Notes:
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the US

  • This role requires working on site in our Los Angeles office

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $200,000-300,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401k)
