You will also serve as a key member of various cross-functional project teams and provide support for Latin America-based employment matters, as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess the skills needed to execute the employment law team’s objectives and key results, including driving process and program improvements through training on best practices, creation of toolkits, and the implementation of other effective solutions that can be scaled to achieve broad impact and sustainability.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to simplify legal concepts into appropriately risk-adjusted, business-oriented advice, marshal buy-in, drive change, and create effective and relevant presentation and training materials in visually captivating mediums.

This position will report to our Director & Assistant General Counsel, Employment Law. This role can be remote or based in one of Procore’s U.S.-based office locations, in either the Central or Eastern time zone, to provide critical support during EMEA working hours.

  • Anticipate legal issues and monitor emerging employment law risks, regulations, and opportunities in the jurisdictions in which we operate that may impact the business, and proactively advise the business on timely and practical adjustments to policies, practices, and procedures as necessary

  • Manage employment-related projects with a hands-on, results-oriented approach, including (i) building scalable legal support processes, (ii) integrating with other risk functions (e.g., Ethics & Compliance, Privacy & Data Protection, Internal Audit, and Corporate) to ensure necessary awareness and alignment, and (iii) developing global employment law solutions and toolkits and conducting trainings, feedback sessions, and audits to support effective implementation of the same

  • Act as the primary, hands-on legal partner for the EMEA region, directly executing and providing strategic counsel on employment matters in the UK and Ireland, including strategically managing outside counsel in other specific EMEA jurisdictions where specialized expertise is required (e.g., France, Czech Republic, Egypt, UAE) to deliver cross-jurisdictional strategic counsel and outstanding service and results

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within LRC, with the People organization, and with other key business partners and functions

  • Strategically manage employment-related disputes and litigation, as well as administrative agency charges, investigations, and audits, with legal acumen and cost-effectiveness

  • Lead or support additional LRC projects as needed, potentially including the ongoing ownership of longer-term programs

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
