Craft the narrative for the future of our brand.

Realtor.com is a brand on the rise—with new leadership, a bold creative point of view, and a thriving new headquarters in East Austin. We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Copywriter to help shape the next era of our brand and bring breakthrough ideas to life across every channel.

Why now?

We’re in a bold phase of brand transformation. Over the past six months, we’ve added top talent from Tesla, Coca-Cola, YETI, and OJO Labs, and partnered with creative agency GSD&M. Our largest national campaign just launched, and we’re looking for a Senior Copywriter to fuel the next wave of big ideas that shape the future of a brand that touches millions.

About the role

As Senior Copywriter, you’ll have the opportunity to guide the messaging for a brand that helps millions of people every month navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives: finding a home.

You’ll concept, write, and execute campaigns that make people feel something—and do something. You’ll work closely with the Creative Director, our talented team of designers, and Integrated Marketing leads to generate ideas and bring them to life across paid media, digital, social, product, CRM, and beyond.

We’re building a team that moves fast, dreams big, and obsesses over the details. You’ll be right at the center of it.

What you’ll do

For the work:

  • Concept ideas that deliver both creative excellence and business performance
  • Creatively articulate those ideas in copy to make people think, feel, and take action
  • Take big swings to push the brand into cultural conversations

For the team:

  • Think proactively about new possibilities for creative campaigns, and share your ideas freely
  • Collaborate with design and marketing partners to refine and sell your work
  • Bring your authentic perspective and contribute to the culture

For the brand:

  • Be the megaphone for a national brand in the middle of a bold evolution
  • Partner with creative collaborators and marketing leads to push the work to the next level
  • Balance short-term scrappiness with long-term storytelling

For the culture:

  • Embrace the spirit of Austin creativity—open, brave, community-minded
  • Push for ideas that surprise, delight, and drive impact
  • Keep the bar high and the energy higher
What you bring
  • 5+ years of experience at agencies and in-house creative teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • A strong portfolio of integrated campaigns across brand, digital, and social
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from industry experts to articulate their messages and build on their ideas
  • A track record of delivering work that earns attention and drives results

Bonus points for:

  • Experiential brand activations
  • CRM and performance marketing experience
  • Figma expertise

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
