Shape and own the founder's brand voice across social platforms, especially X. Translate dense clinical and scientific material into accurate, accessible, high-engagement short-form copy, repurpose content across channels, and collaborate with leadership and short-form teams to maintain a steady content flow.

Kate Tolo, co-founder of Blueprint, Don't Die, and Immortals — is building her own brand at the forefront of female health: the first longevity protocol designed from the ground up around a woman's body. We're looking for a Senior Copywriter who will be instrumental in shaping Kate's brand voice — someone who can take complex scientific write-ups (biomarkers, hormones, cycle data, clinical research) and turn them into sharp, digestible, scroll-stopping copy, starting with X and flowing out across every platform.

This is a role for someone who lives where science meets story: you can read a dense clinical study and turn it into a post a first-time reader actually gets — and wants to share. You'll help define how Kate sounds — rigorous but human, curious, honest, discovering in real time rather than declaring from on high.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own Kate's voice on X — turn complex science into clear, compelling posts and threads that grow an audience.
  • Translate scientific and clinical write-ups into accessible, accurate, social-first copy — making rigorous material feel human and shareable without losing the science.
  • Write captions and copy across our other platforms, repurposing X content so it works everywhere.
  • Help shape and steward Kate's brand voice and tone as the brand takes form.
  • Work closely with Kate, the Senior Director of Content, and the short-form team to keep a steady, reliable flow of content going out.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A background in scientific, medical, or health/research writing — you're at home in clinical material and can stand behind its accuracy.
  • A rare talent for simplification — you make hard things easy to understand and impossible to stop reading.
  • Native fluency in short-form social copy, especially X — you know what earns attention and what falls flat.
  • A strong, adaptable voice — you can build and hold a brand's tone, even when writing as someone else.

Preferred Skills:

  • Interest or background in women's health, longevity, or wellness.
  • A track record of X threads or social copy that grew an audience.
  • Comfort ghostwriting or writing in a founder's voice.
  • Fast, self-directed, and comfortable in a scrappy environment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
