The Senior Conversational AI Designer is responsible for leading efforts in applying knowledge of human capabilities, technology, industry design best practices and standards to create user interfaces for high complexity and strategic initiatives in virtual assistants. As a Senior Conversational AI Designer, you will drive strong cross-functional collaboration, interpersonal relationships, and business outcomes in service of Allstate customers, consumers and employees.Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs highly complex Voice and Chat conversational AI design product(s) independently
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities but may occasionally provide guidance on conversation design work and serve as a resource or mentor to others.
Develops innovative conversational AI design solutions and systems to support strategic business unit objectives using human-centered design methods.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of conversational AI design, User Experience (UX), Customer Experience (CX), and technical standards. Applies those standards to achieve business results while keeping up with latest industry trends.
Exhibits in-depth knowledge of the conversational AI design and business and uses that enhance business operations across the enterprise.
Oversees the conversational AI design process across multi-disciplinary teams, helping educate all UX designers on how to collaborate with other disciplines.
Models how to use human-centered design approaches to frame conversational AI design problems, uncover patterns, discover opportunities, and visualize concepts, and create interactive prototypes for voice and chat experiences.
Determines and coordinates conversational AI design work priorities and timelines for work within program area; communicates delivery dates.
Contributes to Allstate business and conversational AI design strategy using deliverables such as flow diagrams and prototypes using industry software like Figma, Mural, Visio and Voiceflow.
Uses conversational AI design experience, innovation and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information and leads discussions to reconcile trade-offs between design and business requirements.
Fosters a team environment, builds conversational AI design consensus, and builds cross-functional relationships between teams.
Collaborates within product teams – assesses and prioritizes conversational AI design opportunities, constraints, and features – advocating for the end user of voice and chat.
Clearly articulates a conversational AI design point-of-view, considering the perspective of all related parties and aligns the team on a path forward.
Demonstrates their passion and knowledge about conversation design, AI and information architecture.
5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Solid knowledge of Voice and Chat Conversational AI Design
Experience with complex transactional business models in conversational AI design
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Expert in Amazon Connect, Chat Tools, Lex and/or Agentic AI is a plus

Compensation offered for this role is 92,560.00 - 166,465.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
