What are we looking for?
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Content Designer to join our team. In this pivotal individual contributor role, you'll collaborate closely with a diverse range of cross-functional teams, including product designers, product managers, engineers, technical writers, researchers, product marketing, and legal. Your main goal will be creating engaging and effective user-centered content for our complex cybersecurity products. This is a unique opportunity to strategically shape the voice of our products, define content standards, and make a significant impact on how users interact with our industry-leading solutions.
What You'll Do- Strategic Content Leadership: Refine tools and processes for UX writing to ensure consistency and scalability across multiple products and platforms, including leveraging AI in content workflows.
- Content Design & Creation: Contribute to the existing enterprise content style guide and design system content guidelines. You'll also drive the creation and maintenance of product-specific copy templates, such as microcopy, UI text, tooltips, and error messages.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to deeply understand user needs and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content that enhances the overall user experience.
- User Experience Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the importance of content design within the organization, fostering a culture of empathy and clarity in all user interactions.
- Content Optimization & Quality: Conduct content audits and usability tests to identify areas for improvement, then iterate on existing content to optimize its effectiveness.
- Localization Contribution: Actively contribute to localization efforts and improvements, ensuring content is adapted effectively for different languages and cultures while maintaining its intended meaning and impact.
- Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to UX and content design, sharing insights and knowledge with the team.
- Extensive Experience: 8+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of UX writing or content design experience in a large-scale environment or for enterprise products.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven experience as a Content Designer/UX Writer in cybersecurity or another equally complex industry.
- Portfolio Excellence: A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX writing skills, with samples of user interface copy, instructional content, and other relevant materials.
- User-Centric Craft: Expertise in creating clear, concise, and user-centric content for digital products and platforms, taking into account industry best practices and accessibility guidelines.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Localization Acumen: Experience working with localization teams and workflows.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard UX writing and content management tools.
- Organizational Prowess: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Agile Adaptability: Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
