Meet Upside:
We created Upside to transform brick-and-mortar commerce. Our technology uses the sophistication of online retail—profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality—to provide users with more value on their everyday purchases and brick-and-mortar businesses with new, profitable customers. We’ve helped millions of users earn 2 to 3 times more cashback than any other product, and hundreds of thousands of brick-and-mortar businesses earn measurable profit. Billions of dollars in commerce run through the Upside platform every year, and that value goes directly back to our retailer partners, the consumers they serve, and important sustainability initiatives.
The Impact You’ll Make:
As Senior Consumer Product Marketing Manager, you’ll play a meaningful role in crafting how we bring new features to market and scale our fintech app to new and existing users. Sitting at the intersection of product, growth, and marketing, you’ll lead go-to-market strategies that not only drive awareness and adoption but also deepen user engagement across the customer journey while pairing new segments and target markets with deep insights to drive measurable outcomes. This is a hands-on role for a strategic and analytical marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, data-rich environment and knows how to connect features and use cases to tangible consumer value. This role reports to our VP, Consumer Product Marketing.
What You’ll Do:
Go-to-Market & Product Launches
Lead end-to-end planning and execution for product and feature launches—from messaging and positioning to campaign rollout with channel partners and performance tracking.
Ensure GTM strategies are aligned with business objectives, delivering clear actions to users and differentiating our product and outstanding value in a competitive fintech and rewards market.
Messaging & Positioning
Craft crisp, compelling messaging for outbound channels that clearly communicate our app’s value to target segments, using AI tools to boost efficiency in personalization across user segments.
Map customer insights and usage data to continuously refine positioning and find opportunities across all touchpoints for driving activation, engagement, and retention.
Strategy & Engagement Growth
Partner with Product teams to define marketing strategies that drive user engagement and retention, setting up clear briefs for growth, CRM and paid teams.
Identify and prioritize new opportunities, features, dynamic communication options to increase app stickiness and re-engage lapsed users, based on behavioral data and experimentation.
Market & User Insights
Analyze user behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to inform product positioning and campaign strategy, partnering with research and design teams.
Turn complex data into clear recommendations and strategic insights for partners across product and marketing.
Experimentation & Optimization
Leverage tools like Amplitude, Fullstory, and HotJar to build hypotheses, run A/B tests, and optimize key moments in the app journey.
Track performance of campaigns and launches with the analytics team, identifying areas for improvement and iterating accordingly.

6+ years of in-house experience in consumer product marketing, ideally in a fintech or financial services app environment
