Experient is seeking a Senior Consultant – SAP Functional Lead with deep deployment and cutover management experience for a multi-year SAP implementation in the oil and gas. Sector. This long-term contract offers a mix of remote work and travel (up to 50%) to client sites (Houston, TX and Jackson, MS). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise leading SAP cutover phases, managing complex stakeholder communications, and driving successful project outcomes in high-impact environments.
Location: Primarily remote, with 20–50% travel to client sites (Jackson, MS and other locations as needed).
Timeline: Immediate start required; first deployment scheduled for Jackson, MS in February.

What You’ll Do
- Lead deployment activities and functional workstreams within a large-scale SAP implementation.
- Manage project plans, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes.
- Facilitate key meetings and workshops across business, IT, and other teams.
- Liaise between technical and functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
- Identify risks and issues proactively, escalating as needed to maintain project momentum.
- Support test planning, data management, and execution oversight.
- Prepare and deliver client-facing updates and executive summaries.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the project and organization.
- 3-5 years of management consulting or professional services experience required (Big 4 experience a plus).
- Proven experience managing cutover activities within SAP implementations, including migration planning, data readiness, and coordinating go-live activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Proven project management experience, including managing dependencies, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- SAP functional expertise and experience with SAP B2B integrations preferred.
- Ability to work independently and lead through influence across multiple teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including driving project routines and facilitating communication at multiple organization levels.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and facilitation skills.
- Experience identifying risks, communicating impacts, and driving resolution with clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree and/or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prosci, SAP) a plus.
