About Us

Modus Create is a digital consulting partner that helps ambitious organizations design, build, and modernize digital products, platforms, and AI-powered experiences. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with client teams to move from idea to production quickly and sustainably, with a clear path to scale.

Our teams bring product leadership, experience design, architecture, engineering, quality, and delivery expertise together in integrated pods. We partner close to the business, create clarity in complex environments, and focus on measurable outcomes, not just deliverables.

At Modus, Product Leadership exists to turn intent into outcomes. We create clarity in complexity, make tradeoffs explicit, guide teams toward measurable adoption and business impact, and help clients make better decisions as delivery moves forward.

Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Product Leader who can independently lead product delivery within a client team, bringing together product thinking, business analysis, and delivery discipline to turn business intent into clear, buildable, and measurable outcomes.

You will operate as a strong individual contributor across the product delivery lifecycle. You will frame problems and outcomes, run focused discovery, translate intent into high-quality requirements, facilitate stakeholder decisions, manage delivery risks and dependencies, and follow work through release and adoption. You should be comfortable working across engineering, experience design, quality, business stakeholders, and delivery teams without relying on formal authority.

  • Independently lead product delivery across a defined product, workstream, or client scope.
  • Translate business intent into clear outcomes, success measures, priorities, features, epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Plan and facilitate focused discovery to understand customer needs, business context, constraints, assumptions, and opportunities before implementation decisions are made.
  • Own requirements quality, including problem framing, requirement hierarchy, story decomposition, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and readiness for delivery.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment, make tradeoffs visible, clarify decisions, and move groups from discussion to action.
  • Lead prioritization, recommending what to pursue, defer, or stop based on customer evidence, business value, effort, and risk, in alignment with client decision-makers.
  • Maintain delivery coherence by surfacing dependencies, risks, sequencing decisions, and changes that could affect scope, timing, quality, or outcomes.
  • Partner across engineering, experience design, quality, and client teams to keep delivery aligned to the intended outcome.
  • Define success measures and use customer evidence, adoption signals, or appropriate leading indicators to evaluate whether delivered work is creating value. Use those findings to recommend iterations, reprioritize work, and improve adoption and business outcomes.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience leading digital product delivery in consulting, enterprise product organizations, or similarly complex cross-functional environments.
  • Experience independently owning a defined product, workstream, platform area, or client scope from problem framing through delivery.
  • Strong product delivery fundamentals, including prioritization, scope slicing, backlog management, requirement hierarchy, story decomposition, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience running discovery, synthesizing findings, and translating evidence into clear product and delivery decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder alignment, communicate tradeoffs, clarify decisions, and keep work moving through ambiguity.
  • Experience communicating delivery risks, dependencies, changes, and escalation needs with clear context and recommendations.
  • Working fluently across software engineering, experience design, quality engineering, and digital delivery, with the ability to ask the right questions and incorporate constraints into product decisions.
  • Experience defining or using success metrics, adoption indicators, leading indicators, or feedback loops to evaluate delivered work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate.
Bonus Points
  • Consulting experience or experience working directly with external clients.
  • Experience supporting digital product builds, modernization efforts, enterprise platforms, or custom software delivery.
  • Experience operating in waterfall, phase-gated, regulated, or governance-heavy environments while helping teams work iteratively.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar product and delivery collaboration tools.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Experience with process mapping, stakeholder mapping, decision logs, risk narratives, executive readouts, or delivery operating models.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve discovery, analysis, requirements clarity, documentation, delivery flow, or decision support.
You’ll Love This Role If:
  • You enjoy bringing product thinking, business analysis discipline, and delivery leadership together to help teams make better decisions and execute with confidence.
  • You are comfortable independently owning your work while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate.
  • You can turn ambiguity into clear, actionable product direction without waiting for perfect information.
  • You are friendly and collaborative, but not passive.
  • You are proactive without creating unnecessary noise.
  • You can read the room, spot unspoken constraints, and adapt your communication style to move work forward.
  • You enjoy creating structure, decision flow, and delivery rhythm without making the process heavy.
  • You believe strong requirements, explicit tradeoffs, and steady delivery cadence allow teams to move faster with confidence.
  • You care about adoption, usage, and business impact, not just shipped scope.

Deployment is not the finish line. Adoption is.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
