Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Senior Configuration Management Specialist to work for our company.

Summary: 

  • Client Agency is Defense Logistics Agency.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Lead System Engineering Technical Review and Configuration Management services for design and development work for DLA financial systems.
  • Oversee and manage configuration management functions of Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), including the creation and deployment of software packages and configuration baselines using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Supervise the configuration management process across various aspects of DAI, for both servers and clients, and stand-alone machines.
  • Direct total lifecycle CM planning and implementation for the program/project.
  • Establish, document, and manage configuration identification structure for products, assigning unique identifiers.
  • Ensure changes to configuration baselines are properly managed, verified, and approved.
  • Oversee the capture and maintenance of product configuration information throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead configuration verification and audits to ensure performance, security, and functional requirements are met.
  • Manage and support Configuration Management Audits and Compliance reporting.
  • Facilitate high-level management decisions on deployment issues with strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and implementation of Change Management processes using automation and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with PMO to manage monthly and major releases; oversee preparation of production packages.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee the Configuration Management Plan.
  • Create, maintain, and update Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Configuration Control Working Group (CCWG) Charters.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and updating of documents and artifacts from CM sessions.
  • Create, maintain, and update the Supplemental Implementation Guide (SIG).
  • Develop, maintain, and update Configuration Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Implement and oversee the maintenance of software tools for Requirements Management.
  • Implement and oversee the maintenance of change management and ticketing tools, ensuring meeting contract metrics and Service Level Agreements.

Requirements: 

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Must have 5+ years of relevant Configuration Management experience.
  • Previous experience in configuration management or related technical documentation roles. 
  • Previous experience with version control and change management practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferences: 

  • One of the following certifications: IAM-II security certification: CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, CISSA, GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP
  • DFARS 252.239-7001 Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification.
  • One of the following certifications: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations 2020 Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator, Oracle Java SE 8 Programmer I, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Essentials (OEM 12c), Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) 12c R1: Fundamentals, Oracle Planning 202x Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), and Oracle Identity Governance 12c: Essentials.
