Job Responsibilities:
- Community Strategy: Develop, execute, and own the overarching community strategy for the North American market, tailored for all phases of a game's lifecycle (pre-launch, launch, and live service).
- Channel Management: Build, manage, and grow our primary NA community platforms, with a strong emphasis on Discord and Reddit, as well as Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and official forums.
- Content & Engagement: Plan, create, and publish high-quality, culturally relevant content (announcements, blogs, FAQs, patch notes, social media posts, memes, and short-form videos) that resonates with NA gamers.
- Community Building: Actively engage in community discussions, build strong relationships with core players, influencers, and content creators, and foster a positive, inclusive, and constructive environment.
- Player Feedback & Reporting: Act as the "voice of the player" by systematically gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing community feedback, sentiment, and bug reports. Deliver concise, actionable reports to product, development, and marketing teams to inform game improvements.
- Crisis Management: Proactively monitor community channels for potential issues, sentiment shifts, or crises. Develop and execute response plans to manage and de-escalate sensitive situations professionally and effectively.
- Performance Tracking: Define, track, and report on key community metrics (e.g., growth, engagement rate, sentiment, retention) to measure success and optimize strategies.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in community management within the video game industry, with at least 3 years specifically focused on the North American market.
- Language: Native-level proficiency in English, with exceptional written (copywriting) and verbal communication skills. Must have a deep understanding of NA internet culture, humor, and gamer lexicon.
- Platform Expertise: Proven expert in managing and growing large-scale Discord servers and Reddit communities (Subreddits). Deep familiarity with the ecosystems and best practices of Twitter/X, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Passion for Games: A genuine, passionate gamer with a broad knowledge of the industry and a deep understanding of NA player psychology and behavior.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills. Strong project management abilities, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Mature, resilient, and adept at crisis management.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and align community initiatives with broader business goals.

US-California-Los AngelesThe expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $97,000.00 to $224,900.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Employees hired for this position may be eligible for a sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Subject to the terms and conditions of the plans in effect, hired applicants are also eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan. The Employee is also eligible for up to 15 to 25 days of vacation per year (depending on the employee’s tenure), up to 13 days of holidays throughout the calendar year, and up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year. Your benefits may be adjusted to reflect your location, employment status, duration of employment with the company, and position level.
