Gunderson Dettmer, the leading law firm for startups and venture capital firms, has an opening for Senior Communications Coordinator, Social Media to lead a growing social media program. If you are a social media professional with creative business strategies and ideas, this role is for you.
Over the past 5 years, we have tripled our audience, and you will own the opportunity to develop new ways of elevating the firm’s reputation and brand within the firm’s brand guidelines. This role will require thoughtful and detailed execution, while handling the volume of announcements and content the team develops on a daily basis.
In addition to managing the social media program, you will also assist in developing internal communications, select website content management and other communications projects identified by the department.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Serve as an integral part of the communications team by owning the execution of social media initiatives, logistics planning, and marketing program management and coordination.
Management, development and coordination for social media workflows.
Develop graphics and video editing for social media, webinars and other marketing projects.
Maintain active and positive brand awareness on social media platforms.
Develop and manage brand marketing assets, including the brand asset hub.
Take instruction from the Communications Manager and Sr. Marketing Communications Coordinator for additional support on specified projects.
Organize communications files and assets from various projects and provide attention to detail upon execution of owned projects.
Listen and ask questions to solicit feedback to understand needs and provide service.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors' degree, preferably in communications or marketing or related area, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a professional services organization or corporate B2B environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:
Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with strong attention to detail with meticulous follow-through.
Deliver high-quality and detailed work, demonstrate operational excellence and ensure quality and integrity in everything you do.
Strong use of Canva, Figma, and social media platform analytics (Sprout
Social, Hootsuite, etc.)
Exceptional writing skills with writing samples
Understanding and use of Mailchimp or other email platform
Familiar understanding of corporate communication principles, media relations, public relations and crisis communication strategies.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working with video editing
Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving and strong analytical abilities.
Knowledge of social media management, digital marketing and SEO practices.
Training in brand guidelines with the latest tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems and graphic design software.

The expected starting salary for this position is $70,000 - $78,000 dependent upon qualifications, experience, and location.
