We are seeking a Lead Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure to join our software engineering department. In this role, you will tackle complex challenges, design efficient deployment pipelines, and manage large-scale deployments of thousands of concurrent GPU servers. Key responsibilities:
  • Manage large-scale deployments of thousands of concurrent GPU servers, focusing on performance and efficiency.
  • Architect and implement the systems responsible for the dynamic deployment, routing and load balancing of GPU servers across multiple clouds and regions. 
  • Design and implement flexible deployment pipelines, ensuring efficient and streamlined processes that promote scalability and reliability.
  • Conduct in-depth research, document best practices, and champion the adoption of simple robust tooling.
  • Play a central role in building testable, operable, and maintainable software.
Who we are looking for
  • Strong programming skills.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript (or Go).
  • 5+ years of professional experience with AWS.
  • Strong grasp of an additional leading cloud platform (Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle OCI, etc.) or on-premise deployments.
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), with tooling such as AWS CDK, Pulumi or Terraform.
  • Deep expertise in serverless architectures and security best practices.
  • Solid grasp of containerization technologies like Docker.
  • A formal computer science education is not required, we highly value demonstrable practical experience and a passion for innovation.
  • Highly adaptable and thriving in dynamic, fast-paced startup environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Professional fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with globally distributed low-latency systems.
  • Experience with AI / Machine Learning workloads.
  • Experience in AWS CDK.
  • Experience in systems programming or graphics programming.
  • Knowledge in the Wine ecosystem (e.g. Proton, VKD3D).
