Zencore seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to assist clients with Google Cloud transitions, focusing on application modernization and infrastructure as code.
Zencore is a fast-growing company founded by former Google Cloud leaders, architects, and engineers. We are seeking candidates with significant experience in Google Cloud to join our team. Our engagements aim to eliminate obstacles, reduce risk, and accelerate timelines for customers transitioning to Google and seeking assistance with data and application modernization. We embed within customer teams to provide strategic guidance, facilitate technology decisions, and execute projects in a collaborative, co-development style.
As a member of our Cloud Engineering team, you will be working with fast paced innovative companies, leveraging Cloud as the key driver of their transformation. They will look at you as their trusted advisor, someone they can rely on and who will be there to help them along their journey on Google Cloud. You will be expected to cover a large spectrum of technology topics like infrastructure as code, application modernization through usage of containerization, serverless platforms, CI/CD, cloud networking or data analytics.
Our core toolbox often includes Google Cloud, the Hashicorp portfolio, Kubernetes, amongst others. We think objectively about our clients' requirements and select the right tools and processes for them based on first-principles reasoning. We are eager to have you come onboard and show us an innovative approach you have found to solve a problem.
Note: This will be a SHORT TERM CONTRACT (12 Weeks) w/ a possibility of extension
Who we need...
- 3 years of experience working with a major public cloud platform. Experience with Google Cloud is preferred
- Hands-on experience with common DevOps tools and practices
- Excellent technical skills in at least one of the following areas:
- Linux system administration
- Networking (data center and cloud)
- MySQL or other Database Administration
- Experience working with traditional data center environments and technologies (VMware, physical servers, storage arrays, networks / firewalls)
- Experience migrating applications from a data center environment to a public cloud is preferred
- Ability to write scripts and automation in at least one language
- Comfortable with being on video in meetings internally and with clients
- Conversational proficiency in English
