About the Team: 

Our Customer Risk Review team is seeking an experienced Senior CDD Risk Analyst with a strong compliance and regulatory background and deep CDD knowledge. In this role, you will drive high-complexity risk reviews, lead direct customer engagements, and work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Compliance and Commercial teams to help scale the process while balancing risk mitigation with strategic business growth.

What You’ll Do
  • End-to-End Case Management: Manage periodic reviews for high-risk enterprise customers, from initial assessment through final remediation. This involves conducting in-depth due diligence, analyzing complex ownership structures, and adhering to all regulatory obligations and internal policies are met within strict timelines.
  • Uphold Quality & Consistency: Maintain "First-Time-Right" accuracy, perform regular quality control checks for the team, upskill team members on quality standards, ensure accurate risk reasoning, follow SOPs strictly, and maintain high-quality decision-making across all casework.
  • Peer Mentorship: Coach peers, guide the team through complex cases, support upskilling team quality, and foster a culture of proactive risk management.
  • Policy Alignment & Operational Excellence: Lead calibration sessions to translate Second Line compliance requirements into practical daily workflows, continuously refining and enhancing our standard operating procedures.
  • Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between Commercial teams and external customers, balancing effective risk mitigation with strategic business growth during complex discussions.
  • Volume & SLA Management: Efficiently navigate high operational volumes and strict regulatory deadlines while managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Perpetual KYC & Product Partnership: Partner with team leads and product teams to ensure the scalable and correct execution of upcoming perpetual KYC & AMLR regulations, aligning with our forward-looking compliance and operational goals.
Who You Are
  • Experience: 6+ years experience in CDD, KYC, or EDD operations or equivalent Second Line Risk or Compliance role within a FinTech, Payment Service provider, or Financial Institution.
    Prior experience leading a team is a plus.
  • Complex Risk & Regulatory Depth: Proven mastery in evaluating complex risk scenarios beyond standard checklists. You bring deep experience navigating challenges such as layered corporate structures, offshore/nominee entities, UBO transparency, high-risk business models, scheme rules, and multi-jurisdictional AML/CFT standards (e.g. DNB, FCA, FinCEN).
  • Prior experience as a Quality Checker or QA auditor in 1st/2nd Line functions is a plus.
  • Regulatory Forward-Looking Mindset: Up-to-date knowledge on upcoming EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR) changes, perpetual KYC implementation, and the ability to analyze how future regulatory directives and legislative decisions impact operational risk and compliance processes.
  • Commercial & Risk Balance: Deep understanding of commercial pressures and customer needs; highly skilled at designing pragmatic risk controls that balance strategic business growth with uncompromised regulatory integrity during complex negotiations.
  • Scalability & Data Rigor: Analytical mindset proficient in leveraging data and analytics to identify trends, conduct root-cause analysis, and actively partner with cross-functional teams to build automated risk operations solutions.
