This is a role for someone who’s passionate about early career hiring, thrives on innovation, and brings curiosity, creativity, and confidence to everything they do. You’ll be part of a global university team, collaborating with teammates across APAC and EMEA to shape the next generation of Guidewire talent.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

Strategy & Delivery

  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand workforce needs and deliver exceptional hiring outcomes.

  • Drive continuous innovation in sourcing, selection, and engagement to strengthen our early-career brand presence.

  • Use data insights to measure success, track pipeline health, and refine recruiting strategies.

Program & Event Management
  • Design and lead the AMER Campus Roadshow — from strategy and planning to on-the-ground execution.

    • Partner with hiring teams, intern managers, and Guidewire ambassadors to deliver memorable, high-impact university experiences.

    • Ensure brand consistency and inclusion across every event.

    • Organising swag, giveaways for career fairs and presentations.

  • Own the internship lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, performance reviews, and conversion to full-time.

  • Run regional interview days, hiring events, and assessment experiences ensuring a world-class candidate journey.

  • Manage student platforms and tools (e.g., Handshake, Symplicity, RippleMatch, etc.) to maximize reach and engagement.

Branding, Partnerships & Inclusion
  • Be an active brand ambassador for Guidewire telling our story across campuses, conferences, and student communities.

  • Build and nurture long-term partnerships with universities, student associations, and DEI organizations across the region.

  • Partner with Employer Brand to deliver creative campaigns and content that attract top early-career talent.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of full-cycle university recruiting or early-career talent acquisition experience.

  • Proven success in program management, event design, and stakeholder influence.

  • A strong understanding of the U.S.and Canadian university landscape and student engagement platforms (Handshake, etc.).

  • A natural relationship builder with exceptional communication and influencing skills.

  • Passion for innovation — bringing fresh ideas to elevate Guidewire’s early talent experience.

  • Experience embedding DEI principles into recruiting strategies and partnerships.

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze trends and drive improvements.

  • Flexibility to travel across AMER for campus events, career fairs, and internship activities (approx. 20–30%).

  • Self-starter mindset — comfortable working independently in a global, matrixed environment.

Why Guidewire?

  • Be part of a global university team shaping how we hire, develop, and grow future innovators.

  • A culture rooted in integrity, collaboration, and curiosity — where new ideas are valued.

  • Opportunity to design and deliver your own AMER roadshow, shaping Guidewire’s university presence.

  • Competitive benefits, flexible work, and genuine global impact.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
