Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

As a senior business systems analyst you will be an integral part of designing and building out Figma’s Accounting systems landscape. You’ll be joining a small team so will have a broad purview over the different Accounting functions, and will have a specific focus on the corporate accounting, procurement, tax, and payroll  workstream. The company is growing fast so the need to revamp, rebuild, and expand our technology infrastructure will be an unending source of exciting projects.

Some current needs include administering a procure-to-pay platform, enhancing integrations between NetSuite and ancillary systems, bringing our NetSuite configuration to a public company standard, and partnering with cross functional teams on launches of new bank accounts, new payroll companies, and more! Outside of direct projects this is also a great opportunity to join the team at an early stage and help us define how a best in class business systems team should operate!

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:
  • Build and provide ongoing system architecture and design reviews to ensure our corporate accounting and procurement processes are best in class
  • As a Systems Analyst you will provide technical and functional support to our users across Procurement, Corporate and International Accounting, Sales Compensation, and Payroll
  • Develop and document long term strategic direction for the tooling and automations to support our scaling accounting teams
  • Design and implement software solutions to increase automation, reduce risk, and create scalability
  • Triage and support suite of tools working with end users and cross functional teams
  • Track and report on effectiveness of our tooling suite to support Figma's corporate accounting, procurement, T&E, payroll, and tax teams
  • Serve as the domain expert on NetSuite ERP and provide end user training and support for our ERP and other ancillary accounting systems
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 3+ years experience working with accounting teams in a fast growth environment, ideally with strong NetSuite administration experience
  • Direct experience leading a major system implementation or rollout
  • A solid understanding of basic Accounting principles and processes
  • Experience supporting ancillary Accounting systems (TripActions, Bank of America, Zip or Coupa, etc.)
  • A balanced skill set that can wear the hats of a business analyst, project manager, and technical systems analyst
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
  • A passion for helping teams scale and grow through the use of technology
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
