Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Finance

Job Description

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong command of corporate financials, data visualization, and business intelligence tooling to support enterprise-wide reporting and analytics. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, works independently, and has a deep understanding of accounting principles, manufacturing operations, and data architecture.

This individual will own the end-to-end development of Power BI financial dashboards and reporting packages—from sourcing and transforming data to designing intuitive, decision-ready user interfaces. They should be fluent in extracting data from a range of sources (SQL databases, ERP systems, Excel files), developing robust data models, and partnering with Finance and IT to drive data integrity and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards focused on financial and operational performance.
• Extract and transform data from ERP systems, SQL databases, OneStream financial consolidation, and Excel files to create centralized, accurate datasets for monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Translate financial metrics (EBITDA, margin, COGS, working capital, plant utilization, etc.) into actionable, visual dashboards tailored to stakeholders at every level up to C-suite.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces and visualizations that make complex financial and operational data easily consumable for executives, extended finance teams, and business leaders.
• Collaborate with extended finance, operations, and IT ACE (Analytics Center of Excellence) teams to ensure alignment on data definitions, governance, and cross-functional reporting needs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including data lineage, dashboard guides, and data dictionaries.
• Lead initiatives to automate recurring reports, reduce manual data handling, and improve reporting accuracy and speed.
• Serve as a Power BI advocate, offering training, mentorship, and guidance to financial analysts and business unit partners.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including data ETL from various sources and complex UI design.
• Deep understanding of financial statements and corporate finance concepts: income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, etc.
• Experience working with manufacturing financial metrics, such as inventory turns, conversion cost analysis, and plant performance.
• Proficient in querying and extracting data from central data warehouse/lake, Excel, and enterprise financial systems.
• Strong UI/UX instincts for building clear, effective dashboards tailored to business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple projects.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven with a strong sense of accountability.
• Experience in finance-oriented role, especially in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like JDE, Oracle, or SAP.
• Exposure to financial planning tools like OneStream.
• Working knowledge of data governance or master data management concepts.

Additional Information

Salary range is $110,000- $150,000
