**This role is Full-time and On-site (San Mateo, CA)**


Luminary Cloud is a Series B startup (backed by Sutter Hill Ventures, N47, and Nvidia’s NVentures) at the intersection of AI and advanced engineering / design. You'll work directly with companies that are designing tomorrow's breakthrough products, helping them accelerate their innovation cycles and achieve better designs.


Reporting to the Head of Sales, you'll join a talented team of professionals who are passionate about redefining what's possible in computational engineering and physics AI.


This role is ideal for self-starters who own their business, thrive in dynamic environments, and can translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value. This is not an entry level position.


As a Senior Business Development Representative at Luminary Cloud, you’ll conduct omnichannel cold outreach to generate net-new introductory sales calls and opportunities. You’ll often be the first point of contact for prospects. Successful BDRs are persistent in outreach/follow-up, highlight pain points, clearly communicate Luminary’s value, and create a customer-centric buying experience. BDRs will also have freedom to generate opportunities from a wide range of accounts, ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 companies.


Responsibilities


-Generate and maintain outbound book of business through effective prospecting, persistent omnichannel outreach, and strong organizational skills

-Set discovery sales meetings for assigned account executive

-Meet and exceed weekly activity KPIs

-Consistently research prospective companies in order to identify net-new logos, understand pain points, and create personalized pitches

-Closely collaborate with manager, account executive, and overall sales/GTM teams to both establish and refine outbound playbook


Qualifications


-Comfortable operating autonomously, own your business, and ready to provide strategic input to shape our go-to-market motion.

-Does not shy away from deep, technical subjects and values continuous learning.

-Located near the San Mateo (CA) area or willing to relocate. This is NOT a remote opportunity.

-Preferably 1+ year(s) of experience as a BDR in a highly technical space.

-Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

-Goal-Driven and coachable mindset to ensure weekly KPIs and quotas are met, combined with grit and optimism to overcome frequent rejection.

-Experience using a variety of sales solutions - including Salesforce, Gong, Outreach.io, Zoominfo, SalesNav, and more.
