About Strada

Strada is building the agentic workforce for insurance operations.

Our platform deploys AI agents that can take phone calls, send texts, and answer emails. Our agents quote new business, service policies and process claims by connecting to core insurer systems. With a singular focus on insurance, Strada offers domain expertise and product depth that generic AI platforms can't match.

Backed by Y Combinator and top-tier investors, Strada already automates millions of customer interactions for leading insurers, MGAs, and wholesalers representing $20B+ in annual premiums. We are growing rapidly and this is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor.

It is now certain that AI in insurance operations will become a multi-billion dollar category. The question is not if, but who wins. We are already ahead in deploying AI at scale and intend to define that category.

The Role

We are looking for hungry individuals with a strong desire to grow and eventually lead a sales team.

As a BDR at Strada, you will sit at the front line of our go-to-market motion. Strong performers will grow into an Account Executive or BDR Manager based on traction and performance.

BDRs will be given initial coaching and enablement on the current outbound process, after which they will be given autonomy to create their own outbound motion, build custom sequences, define new ICPs, and experiment with different outreach methods.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new pipeline through calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages, reaching senior stakeholders responsible for operations, claims, customer service, and digital transformation at major insurance carriers and wholesalers

  • Iterate continuously based on what is and is not working

  • Present your pipeline progress and hottest leads in the weekly GTM meeting, and contribute to the daily GTM standup so the whole team stays aligned on what is moving

You Bring

  • 1+ years of experience in an SDR or BDR role at a B2B tech company, with demonstrable outbound results

  • Proven ability to generate meaningful pipeline

  • Comfortable with cold calling

  • Strong written communication and personalization skills

  • Hungry, self-motivated.

  • Willingness to work in-office in San Francisco 5 days per week

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience selling into insurance, fintech, or similarly complex regulated industries

  • Background in AI, automation, or enterprise software sales

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, or similar sales tooling

Who You Are

  • You thrive in early-stage environments where the playbook is still being written and your fingerprints will be on everything

  • You are competitive, coachable, and a team player.

Our Investment in You

We don’t hire average. We invest deeply in the right people.

  • Top-of-market salary and uncapped OTE

  • Meaningful equity stake with real upside

  • Clear path to Account Executive or BDR Manager for strong performers

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Team events and off-sites

This position is based in San Francisco, in-office, full time.

About Strada’s Mission

Insurance is undergoing a once-in-a-generation AI transformation. We’re driving that change, starting with customer communication.

Our AI voice, chat, and email agents already handle hundreds of thousands of policyholder calls, with instant response times and proven ROI for carriers and brokers. We help insurance teams grow revenue, improve service, and stay competitive in a market where the winners will be the ones who move fast.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
