The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.
About The Role
Corebridge Individual Retirement specializes in the manufacture and distribution of annuities through its vast distribution network of registered representatives, independent broker-dealers, national and regional securities firms, financial institutions, independent marketing organizations and independent advisors.
The Digital Distribution Enablement department’s purpose is to enable the digital provisioning of Corebridge products in distribution spaces to facilitate their sale and service. The Senior Business Analyst supports this effort through thorough analysis, design and implementation of order entry and interface system solutions to support internal and external requirements in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
This successful candidate will work closely with Product Development, IT Programming staff, Operational business areas and Management to coordinate from the initial phase of projects, requirement writing/story grooming to final implementation. This position will also include the coordination of testing efforts with outside vendors and distributors, so great communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate all viable business solution options and identify pros and cons of each option as they relate to order entry/ interface platform processing, data file translation, impact to business processing time, cost and benefits; and recommend the best possible solution with business benefits and estimates.
- Create robust requirements to be handed off for implementation
- Accurately implement required changes
- Act as the subject matter expert for Order Entry/Interface and data feed items
- Evaluate critical system defects by determining and communicating priorities based on impacts to business and work toward solutions to resolve them.
- Mentor and train less seasoned team members to develop expertise
- Provide training assistance to end users for new systems and enhancements.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in the financial services industry
- 3+ years’ experience creating and troubleshooting PPfAs (Partner Profiles for Annuities) and / or working with complex rules on the FireLight platform
- ACORD Certified Expert (ACE) highly desired
- LOMA designations such as FLMI are highly desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of annuity products.
- Comprehensive understanding of administrative systems and functions and how data feeds and order entry systems interact with them.
- Ability to identify a problem, root out the source, and make viable recommendations.
- Ability to evaluate options, risks and benefits associated with changes as it relates to system processing, business processing as well as implement an appropriate testing methodology.
- Possess strong consultative skills and creativity to suggest changes and to improve business processes.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $79,000 to $97,000 at the commencement of employment for the Woodland Hills, CA area. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location
This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Woodland Hills, CA or Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
