SENIOR BRAND MARKETING MANAGER, SOCIAL & COMMUNITY

LOCATION: Remote (US) — Los Angeles preferred, but not required

THE ROLE

Splice is looking for a full-time Senior Social & Community Manager to own the voice of Splice across our organic social portfolio and our Discord community. This is one of the most visible roles on the team and is central to the strategic direction of Splice: what you publish, how you show up, and what you learn from our audience shapes how the business thinks about creators. You’ll plan and publish content, run programming that brings producers together, engage directly with them in the comments, DMs, and Discord, and use performance data to sharpen what we make next. This is a hands-on role for someone who lives in the culture of music production. You make music yourself, you know what resonates with creators, and you can turn that instinct into content and community moments that earn attention. You’ll work closely with our brand, community, and product teams to translate what’s happening at Splice into things our community actually wants to see and take part in. As our portfolio grows, so does the role, with the opportunity to take on social and community channels for additional Splice brands.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Social

  • Own the organic social strategy and publishing calendar across all Splice channels, from ideation through scheduling, posting, and platform-native optimization, and decide where we show up as platforms and audience behavior change
  • Create and edit content yourself, from concept to final cut, with a fast turnaround and a strong point of view on what will land
  • Show up in the comments, DMs, and replies as the voice of Splice, engaging producers directly, surfacing their work, and building real relationships in the process
  • Spot and act on cultural moments, trends, and sounds in real time, including reactive posting outside of the calendar
  • Partner with brand, product, and community teams to turn launches, artist packs, and platform news into content that feels native to each channel rather than an announcement
  • Source and amplify community and creator-generated content, coordinating directly with producers and artists

Community

  • Manage and grow the Splice Discord server, keeping conversation active and welcoming day to day
  • Plan and run recurring community programming, including beat battles, community challenges, and remix competitions, from concept and rules through promotion, judging, and recognition of winners
  • Start and sustain regular conversations that give producers a reason to come back, share their work, and give each other feedback
  • Work with moderators and internal teams to keep the community healthy, and bring what you hear in Discord back to the wider business

Data and reporting

  • Track performance across social and community channels and translate the numbers into clear recommendations: what to double down on, what to stop, and what to test next
  • Use data to make decisions on content, programming, and channel investment, and report on channel health, community growth, and engagement to the business on a regular cadence
  • Develop workflows to move faster and produce more, across ideation, scripting, editing, asset generation, and analysis

Growth

  • As the Splice portfolio grows, take on strategy and management of social and community channels for additional brands, with the scope of the role growing alongside the portfolio
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years managing social channels for a brand, artist, label, or creator-facing company, with examples of work you can point to
  • Experience owning a multi-channel organic social presence, not a single platform
  • Experience speaking directly to a creator audience, ideally in music, but adjacent creative categories will be considered
  • You make music with a DAW. You understand production workflows from the inside and can talk to producers as a peer
  • A proven track record of building and engaging a community, not just growing follower counts, including hands-on experience running a Discord server or a comparable community space
  • Experience planning and running community programming such as contests, challenges, or competitions
  • Native fluency across the major social platforms, including the formats, editing conventions, and publishing tools for short-form video, long-form video, and text-based channels
  • Strong comfort with social and community analytics, and the ability to turn data into decisions and clear reporting for a business audience
  • Hands-on experience and a genuine appetite for new tools as they emerge
  • Strong writing and a natural instinct for tone. You can be funny, direct, and human without sounding like a brand account
NICE TO HAVES
  • Based in Los Angeles, with the ability to attend shoots, sessions, and creator meet-ups in person
  • Experience with Blender or other 3D rendering/animation tools, and the ability to create original content with them
  • Comfortable being on camera and featured in Splice content
  • Existing relationships in the producer, artist, or label community
  • Motion design, photography, or audio editing chops

SPLICE BENEFITS:

  • Compensation & Equity: Competitive pay with annual reviews and equity opportunities.
  • Time Off: Unlimited PTO to recharge and thrive.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan with immediate vesting and company match.
  • Parental Support: 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave for non-birthing parents, and 18-20 weeks for birthing parents.
  • Flexible Work Options: Work remotely or connect at our office hubs and creative spaces worldwide.
  • Professional Growth: Annual learning budget, leadership programs, and team ambassador opportunities.
  • Community & Connection: Inclusive events, team meet-ups, and vibrant Employee Resource Groups.

The national pay range for this role is $112,000 - $140,000 Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
