About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Brand & Integrated Marketing Manager to build the big moments that define Roo's brand. You'll lead the launches, campaigns, and stories that shape how veterinary professionals and animal hospitals experience Roo. Your work will build awareness, trust, and affinity while supporting Roo's broader growth through strong strategy, storytelling, execution, and measurement.

Responsibilities

Integrated Campaigns & Launches

  • Lead Roo's biggest launches and company-level brand campaigns end-to-end: audience insight, narrative, briefs, channel planning, cross-functional orchestration, execution, and measurement.
  • Own Roo's brand campaign calendar and measurement standard, partnering with brand, product marketing, lifecycle, partnerships, and other functions so every campaign feels like Roo.
  • Lead brand research and benchmarks that show how campaigns move awareness and perception, and use them to guide where brand investment goes next.
  • Turn industry moments (conferences, recognition weeks, and seasonal moments) into signature Roo moments.
  • Bring strong creative ideas and storytelling to every campaign, including new formats and channels.
  • Lead a steady cadence of co-marketing campaigns with Roo's strategic partners, and turn customer and success stories into integrated campaigns, press, and thought leadership.
  • Lead brand growth in new markets, adapting campaigns, PR, and industry presence for each market as Roo expands.
  • Own and track campaign and PR agency budgets, and build repeatable systems for campaign planning, briefing, and measurement.

Thought Leadership & PR

  • Partner with our PR agency on earned media, trade media, and sponsored content, turning Roo's proof points into stories that strengthen our credibility.
  • Build Roo's thought leadership program, bringing Roo's point of view on the future of veterinary work to the industry through research, content, and speaking opportunities.
  • Elevate the voices of veterinary professionals, hospital leaders, and Roo's executives so Roo's story is told by the people who live it.

Qualifications
  • You have deep experience in integrated, brand, or campaign marketing, including leading major multi-channel launches from strategy through measurement.
  • You bring cross-functional teams together around a shared plan and keep complex launches on track.
  • You've managed PR agencies or earned-media programs and built thought leadership that lands with a professional audience.
  • You've owned brand research, budgets, and agency relationships, and make smart trade-offs with each.
  • A strong storyteller with creative judgment and a clear point of view on how to measure whether a campaign worked.
  • Thoughtful about where AI and emerging tools improve how marketing teams work, and where human judgment matters most.
  • Experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, tech, marketplaces, labor platforms, or mission-driven companies is a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
