About the Role...

At Dutchie, design is central to how we communicate, differentiate, and grow. As a Senior Brand & Growth Designer, you’ll be a driving force behind our visual identity, contributing both to fast-moving campaign work and long-term brand evolution.

This role is ideal for a multidisciplinary designer who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and understands how to craft high-converting creative without sacrificing visual excellence. You’ll work across the full marketing funnel—from rapid-response paid ads to key brand moments and product storytelling.

We’re looking for someone who’s not only an exceptional craftsperson but also a strategic thinker who knows how to move the needle through design. You should be equally comfortable getting scrappy on a tight turnaround as you are setting a high-level creative direction.

What You’ll Do...
  • Lead design across a variety of formats - from paid media to digital and print campaigns to event assets, websites, presentations, and video storyboards.
  • Translate marketing goals into compelling visual concepts that convert and connect. They capture attention, communicate value, and drive engagement, without needing pixel-perfect direction.
  • Own and evolve Dutchie’s visual identity, ensuring consistency while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Create same-day graphics and design assets to support rapid-response marketing while balancing ongoing campaign and branding projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with copywriters, marketers, and product teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across touchpoints.
  • Direct and manage design vendors and freelancers, including video teams and illustrators, as needed.
  • Maintain and evolve Dutchie’s visual brand guidelines, helping us stay consistent while pushing creative boundaries.
What You Bring...
  • 6+ years in a brand, marketing, or growth design role - agency or in-house experience welcomed - with at least some exposure to brand definition and evolution.
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing, growth funnels, and how creative impacts conversion.
  • Proven track record of creating high-performing creative in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of how design drives business results.
  • Experience with collaborating cross-functionally with teams to iterate and optimize creatives.
  • Strong knowledge and instinct around brand consistency, and a devotion towards evolving visual systems that scale.
  • Advanced Figma skills, with the ability to organize, prototype, and maintain clean design files for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with SaaS and/or B2B preferred
  • Experience creating for a range of channels such as social media, email, paid ads, content marketing, and brand swag.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital design, layout, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience with web design and CMS tools like Webflow, Hubspot, or similar.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates range, attention to detail, and creativity across mediums.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects at once and moving quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • A strong work ethic and sense of ownership - you follow through, go the extra mile, and take pride in delivering great work under pressure - and are capable of presenting your work to members of the leadership team.
  • Bonus: Experience with motion graphics, video production, or overseeing creative vendors. Experience in SaaS or similar technology, or experience in complex B2B solutions is a plus.
Your portfolio should be...
  • High-quality, polished design work that aligns with brand standards and elevates visual storytelling.
  • Creative vision and the ability to translate complex or open-ended briefs into compelling marketing assets.
  • Versatility across formats such as digital campaigns, social media, sales decks, and event materials.
  • Attention to detail in typography, layout, color, and overall composition.
  • Experience balancing rapid-turnaround projects with longer-term initiatives.
Why This Role Matters...

Dutchie powers over $22 billion in cannabis sales annually across 6,500+ dispensaries in North America. As the creative vision behind our brand and marketing, your work won’t just be seen—it will shape how the most forward-thinking cannabis brands tell their stories, attract customers, and grow sustainably. You’ll be joining a company that’s scaling fast, with design and marketing at the heart of how we differentiate in a crowded market.

You’ll Get…

We are targeting a salary range of $115,000-$145,000 based on the intended level for this role.

In addition to cash compensation, our total rewards package includes:

  • Full medical benefits including dental and vision plans to ensure you always have the best care.
  • Equity packages in the form of stock options to all employees.
  • Technology (hardware, software, reading materials, etc..) allowance
  • Flexible vacation and sick days

At Dutchie, we’re committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Dutchie believes that diversity and inclusion among our teammates is critical to our success, and we seek to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
