About Ramp

At Ramp, we’re rebuilding how modern finance teams function in the age of AI. We believe AI isn’t just the next big wave. It’s the new foundation for how business gets done. We’re investing in that future — and in the people bold enough to build it.

Ramp is a financial operations platform designed to save companies time and money. Our all-in-one solution combines payments, corporate cards, vendor management, procurement, travel booking, and automated bookkeeping with built-in intelligence to maximize the impact of every dollar and hour spent. But we’re not just building features powered by AI. We’re building a platform where it’s agents who chase receipts, close books, flag risks, and surface insights. That way, teams can reclaim their time and reinvest in what actually matters.

More than 40,000 businesses, from family-owned farms to e-commerce giants to space startups, have saved $10B and 27.5M hours with Ramp. Founded in 2019, Ramp powers the fastest-growing corporate card and bill payment platform in America, and enables over $80 billion in purchases each year.

Ramp’s investors include Thrive Capital, Sands Capital, General Catalyst, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Greylock, and Redpoint, as well as over 100 angel investors who were founders or executives of leading companies.

Ramp has been named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list and LinkedIn’s Top U.S. Startups for more than 3 years, as well as the Forbes Cloud 100, CNBC Disruptor 50, and TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Companies.

About the Role

Ramp is looking for a Senior Growth Designer to join our high-performing Growth Creative team. This role is ideal for a hybrid thinker—someone who thrives at the intersection of creative experimentation and data-driven strategy. You’ll be responsible for building high-quality, high-performing assets across paid and owned channels that break through the noise, push our brand forward, and convert viewers into loyal customers.

Please note that this Brand Designer role will require you to be comfortable with working in-person in our San Francisco office at least 2 days/week

What You'll Do
  • Concept & Execute Rapidly: Develop smart, fast creative work—from concept to final execution—across digital ads, landing pages, and scalable multi-channel campaigns.

  • Design with Purpose: Combine brand fidelity with performance goals to design work that entertains, educates, and drives leads.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with writers, animators, editors, web designers, and creative directors to execute full-funnel campaigns. Work with internal stakeholders across Growth, Product, and Brand.

  • Work Hand-in-Hand with Design Systems: Partner closely with our Brand Systems team to ensure all growth creative adheres to our evolving visual language—while also exploring new executions that stretch and strengthen the system.

  • Relay Insights Back to Brand: Share creative performance learnings with the broader design and brand teams to help inform long-term creative strategy, visual identity evolution, and cross-channel cohesion.

  • Iterate & Experiment: Test hypotheses and optimize based on results. Success is measured not just in aesthetics, but in originality, clarity, product accuracy, and performance metrics.

  • Explore New Channels: Help identify and unlock opportunities across emerging formats and placements while continuously improving our core performance channels.

What You Need
  • 5–7+ years of experience in design, with strong portfolio examples of performance creative or digital advertising.

  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional design work at high velocity.

  • Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (motion and prototyping experience is a plus).

  • Experience working closely with creative, marketing, and brand teams in high-growth environments.

  • A passion for systems thinking and improving creative processes over time.

  • A keen interest and ability to experiment and adopt emerging AI trends as part of your creative toolkit.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Creative Firepower: You bring a distinct, refined visual style—but can flex to meet performance and brand needs alike.

  • Advertiser’s Mindset: You understand how to capture attention in seconds, communicate a core message, and guide people to take action.

  • Data-Inspired: You're energized by performance metrics and see them as creative constraints that sharpen your thinking.

  • Builder at Heart: You have a proactive, can-do attitude and are equally excited to push boundaries as you are to scale winning ideas.

  • Organized & Nimble: You juggle multiple projects with grace, manage your timelines, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
