The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Leader to drive the strategy, design, development, and implementation of our data solutions on the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of emerging data technologies, platforms, and applications, as well as experience in Generative AI (GenAI) to drive innovation and transformation. They will specialize in designing, deploying, and managing applications on Amazon Web Services. They will leverage AWS services to build scalable and secure applications, manage data storage, ensure efficient computing, and maintain infrastructure.  

Responsibilities: 

• Build a data lake on AWS, for storing raw, structured, and unstructured data in a scalable and durable way.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services.
• Implement AWS IAM and AWS Lake Formation to manage access, permissions, and data encryption.
• Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy AWS applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
• Create a data catalog, making it easier to search and query data stored in S3.
• Ensure data integrity and security with IAM roles, adhering to AWS security best practices.
• Optimize application performance by leveraging AWS services and tools.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
• Foster collaboration across teams ensuring strategic vision is executed effectively.
• Work closely with engineers to develop necessary infrastructure for scaling GenAI applications.
• Focus on delivering tangible value by understanding end-user needs impacted by technology + ethical decision-making with responsible AI practices. 

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.
• Experience in database architecture, ETL BI, big data machine learning & advanced analytics strategic thinking.
• Understanding of data storage best practices, such as data partitioning and compression, to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Strong communication, adaptability & leadership skills to bridge knowledge gaps across teams embracing change, experimentation while driving technology transformation.
• AWS certification.
