Job Title: Senior Automation & AI Developer - Mortgage Technology
Background: This senior-level role will directly shape the future of how Rapid Mortgage Company leverages automation and AI to stay competitive, improve borrower experience, and increase efficiency.
The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with teams such as IT/helpdesk, Operations, and other senior leadership to design, test, and implement features and functionalities that will improve performance and usability of systems and processes. This position may require interaction with end-users upon routing from the helpdesk to provide usage support for, answer questions regarding, and resolve problems with responsible systems.
This position may progress to a management role as our company and departments grow and additional Applications Development positions become necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain application integrations with API and SDK technologies including .NET console applications, WebAPI, or similar using C#.
• Build robotic process automations (RPA) using UIPath, PowerAutomate, or similar.
• Use artificial intelligence (AI) applications (assistant/API, etc.) to support transitioning repetitive human decisions and tasks to scalable, automated solutions.
• Gather specifications and functional/business requirements from requesters regarding projects to create efficiencies, generate revenue, or that are compliance-related.
• Document requirements and leverage a project-management solution to share and prioritize backlog and communicate current project status.
• Build new or enhance/maintain existing web and Windows solutions per project specifications.
• Assist the loan origination system (LOS) team with advanced coding for business rules, custom fields, and Input Form Builder.
• Conduct change management and related communication activities for all feature deployment.
• Accountability to work remotely (as applicable) and support remote users efficiently.
• Lead transition in all custom applications from ICE Encompass® legacy .NET SDK to API.
• Ability to manage and prioritize problems, tasks, and projects effectively.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision in day-to-day tasks.
Candidate Requirements and Preferences:
• 10+ years experience with VisualStudio including: C#, VB.NET, HTML, Javascript, MVC framework, WebAPI, ASP.NET, and console applications.
• Advanced proficiency in ChatGPT (or equivalent) artificial intelligence applications including assistant/API and Custom GPTs.
• Proven experience in robotic process automation with UIPath, PowerAutomate, or similar – with proven outcomes that reduced human dependency on repetitive tasks and allowed for business growth while limiting additional staff.
• 10+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and data applications in VisualStudio solutions.
• Experiencing in application publishing to Windows Server and Azure App Services.
• 5+ years recent experience with Encompass® including the SDK, API, and Input Form Builder (including integrated VB.NET).
• 5+ years recent experience in general mortgage workflow, terminology, vendor partners, and industry best-practices and trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or similar field of study preferred.
• Service-oriented, positive attitude and the ability to represent your role and the company in a positive light is required.
