Job Summary:
As the Senior Associate, Corporate Development & Strategy, you will be responsible for ensuring a best-in-class integration experience for newly acquired firms joining Mariner. You will oversee and execute essential steps in the integration process, fostering trust-based relationships that exemplify Mariner’s values. This role focuses on achieving a timely, strategic, and seamless transition of new firms to Mariner’s core technology stack while managing the transition of operational functions such as billing, trading, reconciliation, and client PMS data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture trust-based relationships with newly acquired firms through proactive communication and the embodiment of Mariner values

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for the integration of new firms and entities, covering technology, processes, and policies

  • Oversee the migration of technology platforms, especially those related to operations, trading, and client reporting

  • Coordinate the transition of operational functions including billing, trading, reconciliation, and client PMS data

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders throughout the acquisition and integration timeline to ensure a smooth process

  • Design and deliver training for staff from acquired firms on new systems and processes so they can effectively operate as part of Mariner’s Wealth Team

  • Monitor integration project progress, new user adoption, and success using KPIs, proactively addressing issues and improving processes

  • Identify and manage potential risks associated with integration, developing strategies to mitigate as needed

  • Keep thorough and up-to-date records and documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

  • Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to deliver results in fast-paced, evolving environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably within a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) setting

  • 2-5 years of experience working with Orion or similar Portfolio Management System (PMS) platforms

  • Familiarity with Mariner’s technology platforms and operational processes

  • Working knowledge of financial systems and tools associated with trading, reconciliation, and client reporting

  • PMP or project management certification/experience is a plus

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Collaborative team player capable of working cross-functionally and engaging with senior leadership

  • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to process improvement

Additional Information:

  • This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, but acts as the central point of contact for acquired firm stakeholders

  • Occasional travel may be required

  • The role involves typical physical requirements and operates in a professional office environment
