Senior Associate, Business Development - Enterprise

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Associate of Business Development who can do more than just open doors — someone who can both build new partnerships and grow them into lasting business relationships. This role is a dual-threat position: you’ll combine the hustle of sourcing and qualifying new partnerships with the consulting-style skills to manage projects and grow accounts over time. You’ll start by driving pipeline — booking and running early scoping meetings — and will have the opportunity to own and grow your own book of business as partnerships mature. This position is ideal for someone eager to build experience in partnership management and contribute to the success of a fast-growing fintech company.

Why Join Kikoff's Business Development Team
  • Kikoff is a high growth, fintech unicorn that is mission driven and serves millions of people

  • This role will directly contribute to the success of a growing, Enterprise business line and is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization.

  • Clear upward mobility: opportunity to transition from sourcing to owning accounts and growing new books of business.

  • Work with a fast-moving team solving important problems in financial services.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.

What You’ll Do
  • Source, qualify, and book meetings with new SMB and Enterprise level partners

  • Lead early discovery and scoping conversations to uncover opportunities

  • Grow into owning accounts directly, expanding relationships and revenue.

  • Manage partnership projects from kickoff to execution, ensuring smooth collaboration across stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of larger, harder-to-reach partners that require organizational navigation

  • Support marketplace expansion with major financial and technology brands

  • Hit aggressive sourcing goals while developing long-term strategic partnerships

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Consulting, preferably in fintech or financial services

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

  • Familiarity with Salesforce/Hubspot, ZoomInfo, CBinsights/Pitchbook, Tableau, Amplitude, Snowflake, AI tools

  • Strong hunter mentality — energized by prospecting and opening new doors

  • Background in consulting, project management, or client services with the ability to manage complex initiatives and multiple stakeholders

  • Proven success hitting or exceeding ambitious targets

  • Strong communicator who can navigate and influence within large organizations

  • Desire to grow into owning and expanding accounts over time

  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and adapting to changing priorities

  • Analytical mindset with basic experience in data interpretation and reporting

  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, or marketplace businesses is a plus

  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the business development function

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
