Description
Engrain builds map-based tech that's redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies-and 30,000 properties-to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. And it's working: our churn rate is just 5%, and we've been putting up double-digit growth numbers every year.
We're not your typical proptech company. We move fast, we stay curious, and we don't do stale or corporate fluff. Backed by successful Seed and Series A rounds, we're entering a phase of serious scale.
Engrain empowers prospective renters to explore, evaluate, and navigate apartment communities with confidence. For owners and operators, Engrain drives smarter pricing, faster leasing velocity, and more informed property design.
We are seeking a Senior Art Director who possesses the rare combination of high-level critical thinking and elite-level execution. This is a "player-coach" role designed for a seasoned creative who thrives on architecting complex information into sophisticated visual systems. You are not just a designer; you are a strategic partner to our CEO and VP of Marketing, helping to envision and execute the visual future of the brand.
In this role, you will own the production and evolution of our sales collateral library. You will act as a 'design architect,' taking raw content and building out the massive volume of one-pagers, pitch decks, and promotional pieces required to fuel our marketing and sales teams. You understand that speed and volume are just as important as aesthetics when it comes to driving leads and closing deals.

You understand that speed and volume are just as important as aesthetics when it comes to driving leads and closing deals.
What you'll do
- Brand Evolution & Scaling: Take new, high-level brand concepts (e.g., flagship trade show booth designs) and intelligently "slow roll" that aesthetic across the entire company collateral ecosystem.
- The Art of the One-Pager: Design and maintain a library of "smart" template structures for sales sheets and one-pagers that balance density with high-end aesthetic polish.
- Revenue-Driving Sales Assets: Collaborate with leadership to architect a comprehensive library of sales enablement materials. You will take raw strategic direction and transform it into high-end pitch decks and collateral that facilitate meaningful client conversations and drive the sales cycle forward.
- Information Architecture: Master the visualization of complex data. You will take messy spreadsheets and fee structures and turn them into clear, branded visual charts that enhance transparency and trust.
- Autonomous Ownership: Act as a self-starter who establishes the visual standard for the organization. You will build the processes and systems that define what "premium" looks like at this company.
Requirements
What you offer us...
- 8-10+ Years of Design Experience: You have a proven track record in B2B SaaS, PropTech, or Commercial Real Estate. You understand the nuances of marketing to multi-family owners, developers, and commercial stakeholders.
- The "Finisher" Mindset: You possess the velocity of a production designer but the brain of a creative director. You find satisfaction in "hitting send" on high-volume, error-free work.
- PropTech Fluency: You are comfortable designing for technology products. You know how to make software screenshots, data dashboards, and "pathfinding" workflows look modern, clean, and intuitive.
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma. You build files that are as clean on the "inside" (layers/styles) as they are on the outside.
- Professional Judgment: You can defend your design choices, explaining why a certain margin, font weight, or layout better serves the business objective.
What we offer you...
- Salary Disclosure for Colorado: base salary of $105,000 - $120,000. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate's experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
- 100% coverage of employee's health, dental and vision insurance with basic plan
- Up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave
- Up to 18 days annually of PTO & 10 holidays per year
- Dog-friendly office
- 401(k) match up to 4 percent
- Annual stipend for personal growth through our Grow475 program
- On-site amenities including a professional fitness center, flexible & modern workspace, coffee bar, happy hour taps & team member lounge
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, age, marital status, pregnancy, genetic information, or other legally protected status.
