Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Analytics Manager to partner with Finance, Product and the leadership team on strategic initiatives and reporting processes. Given our high growth, our finance team is in the midst of redesigning its forecasting and accounting processes to improve fidelity and translate the product roadmap into our P&L. Product and the rest of the leadership team are constantly evaluating new opportunities and want to be able to understand how they may (or may not) impact our financial results. This is where you come in. We need someone who can help design, build, and maintain our forecasting processes, develop assumptions to quantify the “unknowns”, and someone who can think through first and second (and maybe third and fourth) order effects of various opportunities we invest in. When leadership asks “how does XYZ initiative impact our business?” or “what do we think will happen next month/quarter/year?”, you’ll dive in with Finance and Product to quantify and craft a story. Additionally, we are also transitioning to a more robust accounting process as our business is increasing in complexity (including introducing more banking partnerships), and you will design processes to take us to the next level.
In this high-visibility role, you’ll work alongside our world-class team of financial professionals and leadership from across the organization to translate hypotheses into financial impact. You’ll also have the opportunity to be a people manager for individuals who contribute to the problem spaces you will own.
What you’ll be doing
Collaborate with the finance team, product management, and the C suite to identify and track strategic opportunities.
Translate product initiatives and historical trends into digestible financial insights and assumptions for strategic decision making and financial modeling
Develop and enhance our financial close and forecasting process to improve fidelity.
Present recommendations, collaborate with and influence the shape of our finance organization
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation of various key financial data sources (i.e. - revenue, cash, user counts/churn, etc)
Potentially manage analysts and/or data engineers focused on payments operations. Help your direct reports improve their analytical acumen, storytelling, presentation, and prioritization skills. Foster their career development.
What you have
8+ years of experience in Analytics, Finance or another role that demonstrates your quant, analysis, and finance acumen (preferably at a high-growth FinTech or consumer subscription product)
Experience modeling and tracking key subscription KPIs including but not limited to LTV, CAC, churn, ARPU (and more)
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, a record of working cross-functionally to achieve results.
2+ years managing and developing less experienced analysts into more efficient and collaborative business partners
Sophisticated SQL skills, including proficiency in window functions and query optimization.
Ability to thrive through ambiguity
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
